how would i go about making my character turn that purple scaly texture
of the desire demon? (just the skin, i don't want to use the console to
fully turn into a demon)
could i make it a tone or a texture or something? any ideas of how to do this? unless
someone already did this in that case please redirect me
i have the toolset and photoshop, will i need anything else?

if you simply want to change the tint of the skin to purple, then i can point you in the right direction..
Firstly, you will need to change the face morph of your saved character (this is where skin shade is defined)... follow the steps here:
http://social.biowar.../index/176308/1
You will need to make your face from scratch. Skin Color can be found as the first item in the material tab. When it comes to picking a tint, you can find one that already exists - browse for it and change the filter to show all tint files and see what you can find (t1_tat_pnk or t1_tat_pur may do). Alternatively you can make a new tint. Its covered quite nicely here
http://social.biowar..._existing_items
good luck.

well, im making a morph to put into my CC, so i won't have a problem with changing my morph or anything, but looking at the toolset some more, i will figure out how to make a skin tint, but i also want to make a base skin texture for the morph that looks like the desire demon, where can i find the desire demons face texture? i think that is what i need to get the scalyness

open Program Files\\\\Dragon Age\\\\packages\\\\core\\\\textures\\\\high\\\\texturepack.erf
scroll to cn_hed_suca_0d.dds
right click and extract
you will need the nvidia dds photoshop plugin, google it. in case you wonder... the other similarly named dds files are for the normal and emissive maps at the various levels of detail.

ok, found that, had the plugin, warped the desire, got it on the face, works, but its kind of blurry, do you know of any way to fix that? i opened up the succubus and fema head, warped the large succubus face onto the fema and when its on a morph its rather blurry, i tried sharpening the image but that doesn't work well enough, i don't *need* it better than this really, but any idea what wrong? do i need multiple versions of decreasing quality or something?
can i also get some help with making skin tints, that link didn't help much >_>

honestly, ive not done enough with tints to direct you, I suggest googling this site:
site:social.bioware.com tint
Can you supply a picture of your "blurry" texture in-game or in-toolset please? I might be able to recognise the issue better that way.

If this blurriness is in-game, are your settings set to the highest level?

hmm, there seems to be a complete lack of info on skin tinting, i can live without it i guess
but the blurriness is in the toolset morph creator, but silly question, how do i post an image?

use imageshack or similar and provide a link. theres no native implementation for sharing pictures in forums yet
http://imageshack.us/
tints for skins are no different than tints for anything else. any tint tutorial should be sufficient. thats why the one i sent originally was for armour i think - its the same principle, I think. Did you try the pink and purple tints i suggested?

is there a pixel dimension limit or anything? right now the image is about 1000x800

i meant on bioware here, i've used image shack before,
but lol, i might have an idea of why its pixely, i was looking at the veins on the side of the demons head, black on the texture i found, glow purple in the game, going to tweak that

Skin tints follow the same rules as weapon and armour tints, except they use the alpha channel.

ok, its all working good enough,
different question, with the succubus msh extracted, what do i have to rename it to, to make it replace hf nude body? or will it not scale properly?
edit: i already changed the textures

err this is where it gets real messy real fast. I thought you didn't want to use the console to
fully turn into a demon?
to replace the human naked body is complicated because its based on parts - something the desire demon does not have. so the most likely result of any attempt would be a desire demon body with overlapping hands and feet. You might be able to replace the hand and feet naked models with "dummy" empty models, but I couldn't guarantee they'd animate properly (though I think they might). Also, You'd need to check the height of a desire demon to ensure it matches up and if not youd have to scale it (this can be done *fairly* easily with DATool. I wouldn't expect the neck would line up seamlessly either.
You still want to push with this? frankly, just using the console to change your appearance is a darn sight easier.

ok, ya, not worth it
thanks for the help
i now have a functioning (if blurry) succubus face texture, more than anything anyone else has released
that makes two things that i have made *uniquely*

hehe congrats. if you do decide you want to fix the blurriness, share up a picture and the files youve got ill probably be able to figure it out. of course, if you're happy to live with it then it saves me a job

i'll live with it, most of the blurriness is probably just from having to cut and stretch and mutilate a cone head into a round head, then the toolset stretching it across the face
sidenote: i wish JackFuzz would finish custom bodies so i could have that skin variable to set to give something like a matching scaly body
