I am currently happy with the difficulty level of the game, infact i have made several posts to that effect, however at the time of writing this i have reloaded to a previous save because wynne is about to leave my party.

I did some looking ahead with respect to gaining the reaver specialisation, and understood that wynne would not leave my party if she wasn't present when i desecrated the ashes (also should mention that i was able to unlock champion -and- reaver in the same playthrough). Nothing bad had happened, no consequences whatsoever sofar, untill i returned to camp and wynne jumped me saying that i wasn't the person she thought i was etc and left.

Ok, so i have a -big- problem now. I simply cannot survive most encounters without a healer, i failed badly at making either shale or alistair into a good tank, morrigan currently doesnt have a single healing spell, and i am having a lot of trouble getting my hands on consumables to carry me through tough fights without having wynne there.

So i guess i am asking if there is a simple way to edit the savegame to stop wynne leaving my party, or am i going to be reduced to cheating so i can give morrigan all the healing spells because as it is i am not going to be able to progress.

Maybe the best solutiion is simply accepting that i am screwed, try to unlock some more specialisations in this playthrough (spending all my gold on books etc) and start a new game with a different class.

Thoughts? :>

Morrigan doesn't need all the healing spells. I've been doing fairly good with her only having 1. And it's not too late to get up healing potions. You can find several places with full stocks on everything you need for at least up to Greater Healing Potions.

You could try reducing the difficulty and use herbalism to makes lots of health potions. I think elfroot is fairly common in vendors, but I'm not sure. I know the dwarf in your camp will always have x99 flasks, but I don't know about elfroot. A word of advice for next playthrough. The people in this game are very religious so really think about what you are doing.

Thanks for the spoilers. I killed her so I guess I slaughtered a potential party member? Seemed to good to me though.

Happens with the rogue girl too, but I lied to her and all was well.

If you can get Morrigan a single level so you can have her grab a healing spell, I think you'll be fine with that. If really necessary, you could lower the difficulty until this happens. It's better than starting all over, right?

I also think it's possible to make it through the game without, though. I'm still working through my 3 warrior 1 rogue party on Hard and making it through alright. Of course, two of my characters are tanks, and one has the blood dragon armor, which helps more than it probably should. So mileage may vary, but I'm really confident you can manage it if you grab just the one heal spell.

You didn't think desecrating the ashes of their PROPHET for power would possibly make them a little angry?

Or that they wouldn't hear that you did it, even if in camp?

No offense, but this is kind of common sense.

seriously... what the f*ck dude. Spoilers? In the non-spoiler forum? With spoilers in your topic? I haven't even read your post and you've already potentially spoiled a plot point for me.

Reported.

There is a spirit healer book sold in one of the stores, just buy it and make that Morrigans second specialization.

It's all amajor part of the game. The choices you make affect how your comrades react to you. It seems more realistic to me that each member of your party has their own agenda and will leave you if they don't like the way you behave.. If you've made a decision that affects your relationship with Wynne, then you should have to live with her leaving. Resorting to cheating or modding the game goes against the spirit of the game and, IMO, cheapens the experience.

I play a straight up character my first go round, desecrating someone's ashes is unthinkable to me. It was a tuff little quest getting there..Since this is not the spoiler area I wont say more.

Given that no one in your camp who's not in your party in a dungeon is apparently with you or anywhere nearby (can't switch people out in a dungeon) and apparently just sit on their asses in the camp it's not surprising that the only way they would know anything is if you told them.

This. Wow. This was a huge spoiler. Thanks for that.....(I'm being sarcastic)
Thanks person who made this thread for breaking 2 things you are not suppposed to do. You are NOT supposed to put spoilers in your thread title name and you are SUPPOSED to put spoiler topics in the spoiler forum section.

My thoughts are this.  Do you know the difference between a 'Gen Discussion' and a 'Spoiler' forum?  This, and most gaming sites have both - USE THEM!

There are two ways to play the game:

1) immerse yourself in the character and story, learn to understand your companions' personalities from the viewpoint of your PC, and make decisions based on that understanding and accept the consequences of those decisions. OR

2) read lots of spoilers and walkthroughs, calculate an optimum way to min/max your game progress, and make decisions based purely on maximum game-mechanic benefit.

Your complaint is that you're doing option 2 and doing it badly. If you're going to plan based on spoilers, make sure you're getting good info!

My advice would be to reload a save from before the Ashes. Since subclass unlocks are permanent once activated on the account, you can now choose the "good" option at the Ashes without losing reaver capability. It's cheese, but I'm guessing that's not going to bother you.
