Wouldn't it be epic that Daft Punk would be featured as DJs in some night club (kinda like Afterlife) in ME3, like they will be in Tron Legacy? :D Just hope BioWare reads this topic and considers it. :wizard:

Nah, I give daft punk a pass for being french but not for blurring the line between things I like. And what would they do? They probably can't speak english or if they can, not well enough to be decent voice actors.

They could include them, but then BioWare would have to work it harder, make it better, do it faster...

Daft Punk personally? nah.

A parody? Sure thing, that would be cool :D Like - some human character disguising as a robot.

Yes, Daft Punk should do the ME3 soundtrack.

I think, they should rather hire some underground Norwegian Black Metal band for Omega. Way too much electronic music in ME ;)

Any real world music they put in has to be obscure enough that nearly nobody has heard of it. Daft Punk is a pretty obvious thing and it would be strange for alien nightclubs to be blasting early 21st century techno.

It will cost Bioware too much money.

It would be epic to see a parody of them in a club ,but as for a sound track I'll cut it off there and say it would probably not fit a single serious scene in the game lol

This. Daft punk are okay in their own right but a commercial act making music for a Mass Effect is no bueno for me.

Yes, Daft Punk did a great job with Tron Legacy's soundtrack. But Jack Wall and Sam Hulick have done a great job with the soundtracks for ME1 and ME2. I'm looking forward to ME3's soundtrack, and I'm fully convinced it will have music just as awesome as the first two games in the series.

And PLEASE no Faunts M4 Part 2 again. We heard it and (generally) liked it. But leave it back in ME1.

I thought this was the assumption of the idea. It would be dumb to use the exact same song.

I could come at that. It's just that any mention of Faunts and ME1's credits is usually followed by "ME2's credits sucked! Bring back M4 Part 2 for ME3's credits!"

I hate those threads.

That was what I meant, yeah.

Yeah that'd be dumb. I'd love to have a sequel to the song for ME3 though. If they feel they can produce something natural, of course. Can't force art.

That's what I meant as well by writing "This." :P

I got a little disappointed when I reached the ME2 credits and the music was "just" a classical score. Don't get me wrong, I liked the ME2 soundtrack very much - I had just hoped to hear an actually song like in the first game.

If not Faunts, then something else post-rock. It suits the games pretty well.

Well seeing that daft did an amazing hob in tron legacy.... yeah would be cool to do the music in ME3 seeing how the soundtrack in tron gave me a 'mass effect' feel along with all the holographic panels.

For an existing Faunts song, may I suggest 'Twenty-Three'. Would be good if LI dies at the end, if not Shep himself.

BTW I actually do like Daft Punk and it would be cool if a Daft Punk tribute act were playing in Afterlife. Still, wouldn't work for credits song.

Twenty-Three seems very fitting.

And lets face it: Even if no one from our team dies, the earth will mostly lie in ruins, similar to Europe at the end of WW 2. There will be millions, if not billions of dead, rendering entire cities into slaughterhouses similar to the fields of Verdun. There is no such thing as a happy ending to an intergalactic war.
