I was one of those having the constant lock ups with graphical corruption at any stage in the game, not related to the usual temp/memory/etc you would expect to see.

I was running everything at max (with no AA).

Out of desperation I started to randomly change things.

This was not done scientifically, was just a lets try this.

So I turned off forced sterio for my headset, turned ON 2x AA, turned down graphics from max to high.

Oddly no more crashes (though they might just be teasing me). Obviously I don't know which if anything mattered (I'd bet on the audio first as some are having sound crash issues), but its worth a shot if you are sick of rebooting every crash.
