I'd put this in some kind of a general BioWare 'suggestions' part of the forum, but I can't seem to find anything similar...

Steam Cloud - Your saves, achievements and settings get stored on Steam's servers which means you can install the game on another computer and be able to continue your game from where you left off and - what's most important - you can delete your game and have all your progress be there again when you reinstall it.

This seems to be a logical service to implement for Steam versions of, not only ME1 & 2, but Dragon Age too since, from what I understand, you have to keep your saved games untill the next instalment anyway if you want to continue with your customized character.

Even without that argument - Steam Cloud: why not?

For now, I think a USB storage device could work just as well.

I doubt there would be that level of co-operation between EA and valve since EA pretty much tries as hard as they can to screw steam over with their releases.I'm guessing it's got something to do with steams 70% (or so) market share in digital distribution.

However EA does distribute Valves game disks to the x-box 360. and that 70% is an estimation by the Stardock CEO (compeditor)

Honestly, I think that Steam is the best digital download platform (pc and mac support, acheivments, steam cloud, steam ingame-overlay; that overlay gets me... well anyway). Google is the best internet platform (chrome browser, search, gmail, google docs; oh how I love google docs). Windows is the best OS (large hardware selection for PCs, open development, umm ok that's really it; but it means we get to play games on windows). iPhone is the best cell phone (theres an app for that). WoW is the best MMORPG (so... many... users...)

EA  (or anyone) is very foolish if they think they can move in to one of these fields and take it over Unless they do everything better than the previous And do new, better things that solve problems we didn't know we had.

EA are planning on cutting down on doing things such as that to save costs.  Not much of a relationship between the two here it seems atm

Dragon Age has no Steam integration whatsoever. Buying it over Steam is effectively the same as buying it over any other digital distribution channel. Steam Cloud is a Steamworks feature and any game that uses it needs to have proper Steam integration. The chance of EA/BioWare going back to an old game and adding this functionality is slim to none. Furthermore, since EA have their own online store, it's extremely unlikely for them to give Steam-exclusive features, since it would divert sales away from their own store.
