I recently bought a copy of Mass Effect 2 off Ebay, the price was AWESOME and the offer was only for 48 minutes, so I rushed the offer and bought it ASAP, when I recieved it I noticed that it was a Russian edition. My question is, does it include the same English audio data as a copy produced for England? I'd really appreciate an answer and the faster the better, 4 days before I lose the credit from Ebay and if I have to buy another one I'd like the credit.
Apologies that this follows some other threads about language support but I couldn't really glean a full answer from them as they have slightly different focuses.
Also sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

Slap me for stereotyping if you want, but are you sure this is a legitimate Russian edition, and not a "Russian edition"?

Anyhow, I'm not sure. IIRC pretty much every ME1 edition came with English on top of any localizations, but ME2 I don't know about. It seems the audio files are likely included, but this is all I could find with a quick google.

Well it has the Games for Windows Live seal, but it doesn't have the plastic seal and it's thinner than a usual box but it has a cardboard semi-container. How do I tell if it is a "Russian Edition"? I haven't installed it yet. I understand the sterotype of PC gamers being Pirating bastards, but I have NEVER bought an illegitimate game and never plan to. That said, in retrospect, a 10.50 copy of Mass Effect 2 is about 1/3rd the standard price, so this might be a pirated copy, if it is then I will get rid of it.

:/ That sounds like a "Russian edition," not a real Russian edition. ME2 is not a Games for Windows Live game.

*Insert SFW swearing...* BLARGH Blatant yet I didn't see it. Thanks though, for pointing out the simple yet definite sign of an illegal copy.

Well, if it has no Cerberus Key or a Game Key you're absolutely sure that you have an illegal copy of Mass Effect 2. And yes, it does not use Games for Windows LIVE!, although it is a Games for Windows title.
