The point of this thread is to post your ideas for new classes in mass effect

ok A heavy weapons specialist
Armor: he/she lumbers around in heavy juggernaught armor which increases overall health but reduces speed
Weapons: heavy pistol and a flak cannon or minigun you must choose on in weapon locker from the several types of these devastating weapons
Abilities: Overcharge. it increases weapon fire rate and accuracy for several seconds but lowers your shields and speed for the use of this ability
OK now onto you my little raggamuffins:)

Pure adept. No weapons other than pistol. With an overkill feature that puts out a 500% power damage with a 1 minute cooldown, or some kind of death blossom that leaves you vulnerable for 5 minutes. Would have the powers that jack has in her initial introduction (taking down 3 ymir's by herself...), The cooldown that jacob initially has when you are first made to use his pull power. Flying/gravity reduction that Samara demonstrates when you first meet her. Instant pull/lift throw that miranda uses on her loyalty mission cut scene, etc. You get the idea. All the cool stuff the casters do in the cut scenes that conveniently disappear in game

I thought about a true assassin class with an enemy AI that would ignore your shenanigans until you stepped out of the shadows too long or made too much noise. But really, that specialized of a class and enemy AI reaction is, like, its own game.
Then I thought of a more espionage character. One that could set up trips for various traps and throw specialized grenades. But to set up such traps, you also need to have an enemy AI that will ignore you while you set it and follow you while you lure them into it.
So then I thought of a melee/extreme CQC character. One that had increases in defenses and bonus that made them more difficult for the enemy to hit, allowing them to get up closer for the melee attack. Can only use a pistol or a blade.
Then I thought of a more espionage character. One that could set up trips for various traps and throw specialized grenades. But to set up such traps, you also need to have an enemy AI that will ignore you while you set it and follow you while you lure them into it.

well, an extended cloak would allow for your espionage character. Just disable anything but melee during the cloak period to balance it out.
As for your 3rd, isn't that a vanguard? Or a vanguard with sentinel's tech armor? Sounds cool, though. Especially if the pistol were silenced so it didn't trigger enemy ai! That's what I expected initially from kasumi's shadow strike: cloak, kill or strike while still cloaked, return to position and decloak. A more advanced version of an infiltrator's cloak...

i see this thread has gotten a few good ideas. while im at it i would probably like to see something like better melee attacks like kicking, punching,throwing. you know stuff like in assasins creed. now that would be good

In ME1 and in ME2 we´re able to chose a specialisation. In ME2 the two different Evolved Versions may sign you as an "Commando" or "Shocktrooper", but the gap between is very small. So I don´t want to have a new class. Instead I want specialisations which really matter and effects the hole gameplay of a class.
For Example as Vanguard you can choose between Commando (Biotic-orientaded with Assault Rifle like those Human Vanguard Eclipse or the Cerberus/Asari-Commandos from first game) and Shocktrooper (CQC-orientated with Shotgun) (Names are just for example)

a mix between the infiltrator and the vanguard. with cyro blast instead of AI hacking and warp instead of shock wave and incendiary ammo and disruptor ammo. with charge and cloak as well.
