(Before I start, I will put in my usual disclaimer. This story is based off my character which is HEAVILY modded. And I want to give credit to all the modders out there from both the social network for Bioware and Dragon Age Nexus. Modders like Offkorn (Ranger Summons Overhaul), Krayzie3 (Black Templar Amor), and many many others that just make this game so worth playing. I give kudos to all of you. This story is based off a mage/warrior/Revenant summoner who's like Morrigan, but at the same time not like her at all. I won't spoil any more of it
. And so, without any further ado....)

Night's Fall: Death's Knight
Ostagar, not long after the battle:
The ground was soaked with the blood of the fallen. The Darkspawn Horde had started to move away from the ruined outpost. A few small groups stayed behind for now but none of them noticed the dark armored human standing behind a pile of bodies. It looked like he wore the armor of the Templars. But is was as black as the shadows. His eyes gleamed red under the helmet. He slowly looked around at the bodies.
"Weak and pathetic. None of you were ready to face such darkness. And yet you foolishly threw your lives away. You deserved everything you got. Your king was just as pathetic and weak. Banking his hopes on a mere bedtime story." The knight's voice sounded like that of a greater rage demon. He was not possessed. Not an abomination. But something worse. All thanks to Jowan. A man he once called friend. A friend that tried to kill him.
-One month ago at the Tower of the Circle of Magi-
"Jowan...I have to confess something." Descron seemed nervous, but he couldn't lie to Jowan.
"Can't it wait? Lily and I are going to be able to live freely! Then you can confess until you're blue in the face." Jowan held the Initiate's hands.
"No....you aren't, Jowan. I'm sorry, hate me if you want but I had to report what you did to the First Enchanter. They wanted to catch you red handed. Both of you." Descron lowered his head.
"YOU DID WHAT?!?! YOU BETRAYED ME! YOU BETRAYED US!" Jowan was furious. "I thought we were friends! And now they'll kill Lily!"
"Dammit, Jowan! You know what you did was wrong! What did you think I was going to do?! Just let this go?! They'll be waiting for you at the top of....." Descron was just as angry at his friend.
"Don't even talk to me! I don't want to hear anymore of your lies!" Jowan was ready to punch Descron.
"Jowan, come on, we can still get away if we hurry!" Lily pulled Jowan towards the stairs and both of them ran. But Descron wasn't too far behind. He walked up the stairs. Hurt, betrayed, too many things to feel.
Jowan and Lily reached the top of the stairs from the basement of the Tower. But Greigor and Irving were there. Descron quietly took his place as the First Enchanter's side.
"You were right, Irving. She was helping the blood mage. She appears shocked but seems still fully in control of her own mind. Guards, take her to the Aoenar." Greigor ordered the Templars to take Lily into custody.
"No! Not the mage's prison!" Lily was scared out of her mind.
"I WON'T LET YOU TOUCH HER!" Jowan grabbed a dagger from his belt and brought it up over his hand.
Descron saw what was happening. "JOWAN! NO DON....." It was too late. Jowan called forth the blood magic and lauched an attack at the group. Descron unfortunately took the brunt of it. The "tainted" blood from Jowan's spell had been ingested by Descron. Some of it. But it was enough. Descron coughed violently, grasping his throat, unable to breathe. He let out a violent scream of pain as the blood seeped into his pores. The blood itself wasn't what was changing him. It was the "taint" behind it. It was changing his magical "aura" as it were. He was a simple primal mage. But alot of that primal energy was being converted into the school of Entropy. Death Magic. Descron collapsed from his convulsions.
Lily saw the whole thing. Her mouth agape at what had just happened. Jowan 's hands shook. Maker what had he just done?!
Descron slowly stirred. He coughed slightly. As he did, a cold...icy breath emerged. He looked up slowly towards Jowan. His eyes gleaming red. "You son of an Antivan ****!" Descron was enraged. His voice changed. A deathly miasma swirling around him. He stood up carefully. "After all we've been through. And after your stupid actions and infatuations...you try to kill me. You had better pray to Andraste your legs can carry you far from here. Because the next time you and I meet, your soul will not make it through the Fade to the Maker."
Lily shook her head at Jowan. "Blood Magic...Jowan you promised!"
Jowan looked between Descron and Lily. "I...I'll give it up...all magic! I just want to be with you, Lily!"
"Blood Magic corrupts people...you just caused it to corrupt your friend! I don't know you Blood Mage. I don't ever want to see you again." Lily pointed towards the doors. Jowan ran from the Tower.
Descron fell to one knee in front of Irving. "Maker...are you alright, my boy?" Irving asked. Descron just shook his head no.
Lily was sent to Aeonar. And a few days later, Descron was quietly trained in how to control the death magic he now possessed. Irving and Petra were nearly heartbroken to have seen what Blood Magic did against an innocent mage that took the brunt of the spell. The Templars also trained Descron in the use of sword in shield. If he was to bear this curse, he could at least use his curse for the good of Ferelden. Cullen quietly deemed Descron a Knight of Death and Shadow. But referred to him simply as a Shadow Knight.
-Present day-
Descron turned back to the Kocari Wilds. For the time being he was staying with Flemeth and Morrigan at their hut. But preparing soon to leave to help fight the Blight. During his recovery from the battle at Ostagar, Descron was being tended to by Morrigan. Though she claimed Flemeth healed him, he saw the way Morrigan looked at him. Though, she was a woman that cared nothing for the world of Man. Descron intrigued her. He seemed to have even less love for humans than she did. She watched him fight while she followed him and his group through the Wilds. He destroyed the Darkspawn that stood in his way and cared little for the men at his flank. She remembered him saying: "If you cannot keep up then return to the Outpost. I have little use for weak minded fools such as yourself. Your fear of these creatures is embarassing." They truly did not like him for that. He didn't care. Only the strong would survive.
The morning would see what would come their way.
