Heh. Well this happens everywhere though, Brazil is very similar. If they lose you don't hear that the team is bad, you hear that the team didnt come together or that a player had an injury or that a player underperformed, but saying they played outright terrible or a bad team is not the norm.
Not true. Actually pretty wrong! We criticize our team even before it starts. Mostly because it is not really our team but there's lot of interests in puting some perna-de-pau (that's peg-legged = very poor player) in our national team so someone can profit from it later.
We actually praise the 1982 team, even having lost for an Italy that had 3 draws in the first phase and only classified then by a miracle. That's the way we want our team playing and we have plenty players to do it. But no, Parreira in 2006 and now Dunga have to leave the best players out!
Watch 2006 again. That team that beat Japan. That's the Brazil we wanted. But those old famous and fat names ruled the team, not the coach. Now we have two 20yrs old players, in the same team that gave us Pelé, Robinho, Diego and many more. They were left out because Dunga has his own agenda and it is not to put the best players to play! There are quite a few players in his team that wouldn't make back to our clubs here if they wished. And we have way too many players a lot better than some of those who are there.
We're spoiled. We want our team playing like they did in '70, like Holland in '74 or again Brazil in '82.
