You didn't miss much...
IMHO, so far the German team has showed like a serious contender, (well, Germany is always a contender) despite Australia looked bad... the opening match Mexico vs. SA was a good match, I just hope the rest of the world cup could bring such football, to have the joga bonito back... I don't want another dull final with dull teams, as in 2006...

What do you Dutch call it? Netherlands or Holland? I had 2 scores in my screen. One showed Netherlands x Denmand (with the 90min clock)... the other Hol x Den (with the two half x 45 min clock) ...lol
What do you chant? Netherlands or Holland?

Both are doable, but I prefer Netherlands. Holland is just two of our provinces.RageGT wrote...

I thought that was a pretty boring match. I finally got excited during the last 15 minutes.

yes but I think Holland is better than Germany despite the fact that Australia was a lazy team (but Denmark was a good team).
also Van Persie could goal twice today, but it was not a good day for him.
providing goal opportunity by halfbacks was good for Holland and the Technic of our players is better than Germans.

Anyone remember Alex I think his full name was Alessandro Santos the Brazilian guy who played for Japan? He looked like a good player and scored one of the best goals I've ever seen.

Elia was the name of the game for me. Game changed for the better after he came in. And thanks for the answers. I have a few friends in Hollambra... kind of a Dutch city in Brazil. =)

England will bomb. I will be surprised, with their pathetic, cocky attitudes, if they make it past round 1.
I mean, after that performance against the US on Saturday, thus embarassing God, Queen, and Country, they deserve nothing more than wipeout.
Srsly. Draw against the US? If that isn't the definition of FAIL, I know not what is.

The US proved to be strong in defense and control against England. It is however true that their goal was a bit... no, no, it WAS the sole definition of luck. And besides, Algeria and Slovenia stand very little chance against England... unless they start talking to Zebras or something during the match. It is true however that whoever goes on, will sooner or later, very probably meet Germany, which is bad. Partially at least!

Hoping Italy can provide a bit of entertainment. Does anyone know who Pele predicted to win this world cup? He has a habit of making predictions that are very very wrong.

Italy....entertaining? lmao....
I love Italy, but they are rarely entertaining.....and their strikers not particulary good imo, but can ALWAYS count on them being defensively strong and strong in midfield, and Italy will be more than happy with three 1-0 wins lol

I always enjoy watching Pirlo in action Mav but I actually just looked at their squad for the first time and no one else really jumps out. Pepe looked good during the confederations cup and Quagliarella can produce the spectacular. They might not be open and expansive but I enjoy watching them more than alot of other European teams.

Pirlo isn't playing the first match, so no, it won't be entertaining to you
