I'm not disappointed with the team. I'm disappointed with their attitude, specially in the first half. When you play a weaker team, you must keep the pressure on from start, establish your domain, steal the ball and score as many goals as you can while controlling the match at your own pace. Kind of what Germany did against Australia.
I've seen this team play world class style and Róbson (Robinho) was in a bad shape at the time. Now he's at his best again after a wonderful season back in Brazil but the big star is in a bad shape. That's Ricardo. (Kaká) Robinho was the name of the match for me. Maicon was too shy. He's far too more agressive playing for Inter.
Brazil struggled against very weak opponents in the Road to S.Africa, with two 0x0 in home games, while it played beautifully against much better teams. They've got to find some balance here. I'm foreseeing a hard time against Ivory Coast if they keep forgetting who they are and what are they capable of.
Nilmar is my favourite. He and Carlito Teves were unstoppable when they played together for Corinthians. Only 20 minutes into the game and Nilmar produced a lot more than Luís Fabiano.

I believe that Brazil will have an easier time with the rest of the group, mainly because Korea got themselves into a bunker. A very well made bunker if I might add, almost one hour without getting a goal, and that goal was taken in one of the most incredible spots so far. Of course there was a Slovene player who did something similar, although the ball was much less curvy. At the end of the match he commented "I wanted to cross-pass it to another player and not score!"
This. Very bad quality... but it's the best you can get. The ball gets from the feet of the player straight through the keeper's hands and then hits the... errr... thing and goes into goal. One of the two awesome Slovene goals ever seen around.
Also, turn off the volume if you know what's good for you. Slovene commentators usually are scary when it comes to Slovenia

North Korea is a small version of 'Inter Milan' ...
and take a look at 'Real Madrid' and what it has done: Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka has weakened there.
@dark-lauron, I really hope someday you Yugoslavian People unite and forget what has been done in Yugoslavia under a Federal Democratic Nation like USA & Germany.
then your team will be the Champion every year!

I'd like that, but it's impossible. It's more possible that the current countries will splint into even smaller ones. And besides, apart from the Marshal, no one else could lead a country like Yugoslavia. I am one of the little ones that WISH they could unite again. I mean, with the 3 good players from Slovenia, those from Montenegro, Serbia and Croatia, our team could be as strong as England.
Not that I am complaining, we still have a half decent team, with that piece of lucky dude Novakovic, our Goalkeeper, Samir Handanovic, and of course, the champion of Europe, winner of the scudetto and Coppa Italia, Rene Krhin

Im going to stick my neck out and predict goals in the S.A. - Uruguay game. Diego Forlan to be amongst them.
Rage theres a big difference between the teams Brazil and Germany faced. Australia made it easy for Germany to play against them they stood off and watched them then tried to play an offside trap that never worked. North Korea were much better defensively and were inspired for most of the game, I will admit though Brazil playing with 2 holding midfielders was a bit baffling. But comparing them to Germany at this point is a bit unfair.

I know I know, the feeling is mutual though, and coincidentally, for the exact same reasons
And back to football, I ALWAYS buy Vidal for my teams, he is damn awsome in FM

Im dissapointed about the Dutch, most playes didn't play well, Van den Vaart sucked, De Jong couldn't stop chopping legs, Bronckhorst made a few big bluders again, they didn't really create many chanches..Adriano87 wrote...
the funny thing is everyone is disappointed from his/her national team except Germans and Dutchs
Good thing that Poulson, after a year in the Dutch league, sympthatised with us, hope Honda will do the same saturday..

I know I've looked at Vidal a few times over the years. He struck me as more of a utility player than better than the ones I have. I did try to sign him once but he went to Juventus instead.
@Kimosabe
Have you never seen DeJong play before? All he does is chop legs lol. He has been at it all season in England. I think its a mistake to play both Van Der Vaart and Sneijder they play too similar.

Well if they play like Brazil did Kimosabe, I think you might struggle....
Would not be the first time a team has progresses by 'bunkering' down in all three games.

And to let Van der Vaart en Sneijder play together was a mistake, the problem is that Van Marwijk goes to the 'big' 4 (Van der Vaart, Sneijder, Robben and Van Persie) for advice and there not gonna tell him that he should let Elia, Kuyt or Affalay play instead of them..
And of what I've heard they are going to make the same mistake as on the EC, they stop training..
Russia were in a way better shape than the Dutch and simply beat us because they could go on longer, and now Van Marwijk is cancelling trainings because otherwise they will get tired...
