But there were some great players in Germany, Franz B. being the one I really admire. 1990's final match was one of the most boring games I've watched. Almost as boring as Brazil x Italy in 94.
And Druss, yeah, I remember them all from 94 too. Only that it's not half as a pleasant memory as the 1982 team gives us. Sócrates, Falcão, Zico, Cerezzo, Leandro, Júnior, Éder... I could name them all but these are the biggest in a team that will be forever a champion even without winning the tournament.

only Brazil and Netherlands have enough great players to reach Final. Argentina and Spain thriving for 3rd/4th ...
Netherlands is the best even without Robben. only 3 players of Netherlands are better than the rest of Germany Team! ... Mertesacker, Frings, Lahm, Buth blah! how can someone think that germany is a strong team already ?
considering that Frings isn't even in the team and never will be again .. under the present coach at least.
Also having great individual players doesn't make a strong team either ...
anyway: Spain ... has to be their world cup .. at some point

Which team is going to be the most unsportsmanlike? Perennial favorites Uruguay and Portugal? Mexico? Someone else?
Which ref is going to make the worst game-changing decision(s)?
Who will show off the best/worst hair?
edit -- oops, forgot the most important one:
Which coach will do the worst job? (Maradona may have this locked up before the WC even starts, though.)

Good question. For some reason, I believe Italy if they have Rino "Ringhio" Gattusoflem1 wrote...

Don't know the names, but the one that said that Henry's hand goal was regular.Which ref is going to make the worst game-changing decision(s)?
Oh dear, the Colombian goalkeeper, even if he isn't present. It doesn't matter, his Scorpion kick wins against everyone :Who will show off the best/worst hair?

Which ref is going to make the worst game-changing decision(s)? Oh god knows, even the best can make a mistake.
Who will show off the best/worst hair? Maradonna maybe.
Which coach will do the worst job? (Maradona may have this locked up before the WC even starts, though.) Hhmmm Id say Spains, if they dont win with that team it will be the managers fault.

Well, almost there. No offense to the host and their football youth dreams but I hope Mexico does well. They keep trying and they keep losing.
Want to join me in being Mexican for the afternoon Senor/Senorita?

Nah, that's more famous for Italy. The so-called "catenaccio". One attacker, all others in defensive stance. Give goal and make a bunker.Fexelea wrote...
Ok, I'm calling it, this is gonna be one of those matches where you see a lot of triangulation by Mexico, good passes and teamwork, and SA scores with the one-man-running-alone counter
Btw, I created a poll game about the world cup. Group A is up!
