Not sure if I'm mixing 2 stories up but I heard something about them giving away free tickets at supermarkets. My mate lived out there for a few years and he said last year this is what would happen.

I think you should show Merci some Deliah on youtube Mav lol. Lets be having you!!

We won League One this last season, In the Championship now :)

She was pissed as a fart that game lmao.... (still it was needed, we threw away a 2-0 lead)

And will never have anything bad said about her, Ive sat next to her at an away match, she a true fan, really gets stuck in, and withoiut her and her husband, there would be no NCFC right now...she a messiah to us die hard fans Image IPB

Guys, the second goal... he was offside! The penalty should not have been called!!!! lol

I've been to many games, including some with Pelé on it, like a Santos 4x0 on my Corinthians and we left glad the score was only 4! But when I was 13 when I went to Corinthians x Ponte Preta, Paulista title 2nd match (we lost, 3rd match was forced and we then won after 23 years waiting!).

There were 170,000 people on Morumbi. And now they can't put more than 65,000 there! It's amazing how much shrinking a concrete stadium can go through!

PS: tickets are just too expensive for the average South African to pay!

Aye she looked pissed off her skull haha. You would need to be pissed to get the balls to try that though. Not many would give it a go. Is she still there? I thought she had sold up for some reason.

Ive been to Irish league games but they dont count. Ive only been over to England for games once and I will tell you it was one bizarre trip.

No Delia and her hubby are still directors, she was thinking of selling her stake to help further the club but no one of repute came forward so she kept her shares....

Seems like at the moment she happy to stay....like I said though, without her we would have gone under after Chase took us to the verge of bankruptcy, and as a plus point, she actuallym is a really nice person, very passionate about her team :)

Its pretty difficult getting investors nowadays no one sees any money in it anymore. Your better off with someone like Delia who will stick it out when things go bad rather than someone looking to jump ship as soon as things look a bit bleak.

Don't even get me started on our owners. I have nothing against the Glazers aslong as their debt doesnt effect us on the field but its all the idiocy surrounding it with the Red Knights and MUST. I dont want those kinds of idiots anywhere near my club.

Well....the malaysian guy (indian?) who owns the new Lotus F1 outfit was rumoured to be interested (apparently he loves the area) but he has now confirmed he is 'not' investing, but I see it perhaps (wishfull maybe admittedly lmao) depending pon how well Lotus do this season, he may invest next year if he see's progress at the club?

and if he does, I certainly won't be complaining if he wants to pump a few hundred million into the club :)

As for utd, yeah your debts are very worrying, but as long as they stay away from on field matters you might be ok....in the short term at least anyway.

If I had the cash I would buy a club and become an outspoken eccentric. I dont think I would get much with the £50 I won though. Well maybe Liverpool but it wouldnt be good value for money.

Taken from Wiki (which I rarely use but this time it is quite accurate for once):

John became chairman and director of Watford Football Club in 1976, appointing Graham Taylor as manager and investing large sums of money as the club rose three division into the First Division.[69] The pinnacle of the clubs' success was finishing runners up in First Division and reaching the FA cup final a year later.

He sold the club to Jack Petchey in 1987, but remained their life-long president. In 1997 he re-purchased the club from Petchey and once again became chairman. He stepped down in 2002 when the club needed a full-time chairman although he continued as president of the club. Although no longer the majority shareholder, he stills holds a significant financial interest.

In June 2005 he held a concert at Watford's Vicarage Road ground, donating the funds to the club and a concert for 2010 has been announced to raise money. For a time he was also a part-owner of the Los Angeles Aztecs of the North American Soccer League.

Been a disapointing world cup so far, but Argentina, as much as it pains me to admit it, looking the best team yet, and trust me, it so hard to say that as a brit.

Why Noir? Not because of '86 I hope? We would have lost anyway....and its not like England have been whiter than white over the years...

Stuart pearce and Becks Free kick against Greece in the last 10 mins to get the win we needed anyone?

All teams cheat, its a fact, and we are no better than anyone else, all the damn scousers proved that against the USA....

As for Argentina, I would say Germany look better, but Australia may have made them look VERY good, so its a hard one to call until we see them again, but agree Argentina look good, they are my bet to win it.
