I doubt England can beat Slovenia. And if they suffer a goal, I really doubt they can get even a draw! The US is much more of a team. England is just a bunch on guys with the same uniform. That's hardly a team! Who's Capello going to blame next?

Also why is everyone blaming Capello? This is the same team and the same players that produced the same awful displays under McClaren and Eriksson. Surely its the players fault. Where I would lay the blame at Capello's feet is sticking with the same players but maybe he thinks this is the best team he can put out there.

Still, your boys are playing like crap. They need to shape up or they'll be shipping out. No heart, no passion. The American team may not have that same level of skill, but we fight for every inch of that field. We're the team that can play bad enough to be down 2-0 at the half and fight our way back up to a tie (actually should have been a victory
I don't mean to toot our own horn with that commentary. I just think that all athletes should play that way. So often it comes down to just who wants it more. Who's going to fight the longest and the hardest. You need the heart to win a game. England needs to get that heart into their team or they're done.

@Druss, well yeah....at the end of the game yes, but seriously, as you said, this team been rubbish for years now, what does El Roono (apparently world class) actually expect? he has not even scored since...well...I cant remember the last team he scored for England.

He blaqmed pressure for this draw, didn't he? At least Gerrard admitted that the pressure is something that is involved with playing in a world cup, is no excuse, and they just need to play better.RageGT wrote...

At least he has the right idea. Now they need to just do a much better job against Slovenia.

But Italy could go far again, since they like to start like crap and then grow in the tournament.

Apparently Rooney said that even if the English played badly, they would beat Algeria. That means they played really realy badly. Teaches that fool for being an arrogant twit.
You'd think he'd know better than to dare say that. Everyone knows that life does have a sense of irony.
Anyways, Brazil and Italy are looking weak and if Spain loses again I'm predicting a North Korea/South Korea final.<_<

I can only remember the first Serbia one. It could be because of the increase in camera angles that we see more of them now. Or it could be an increase in stupidity or people thinking that it was a genuine tactic Maradona used and thats what him so good. It requires further investigation.Fexelea wrote...
Is it me or the amount of players that are actively trying to use their hands to deflect the ball much larger than any other year (inside the goal &PK area!). I have now seen replays of 4 different teams doing this: USA, Serbia, Nigeria and South Africa. Are they all getting goalkeeper training or what.

Brazil's looking weak? That's the same Brazil which has won Argentina 3x1 (in their home), Portugal 6x2, Italy 2x0 then 3x0 at the Conf. Cup, USA 3x2 (after a 0x2 relapse), England 1x0. Dunga's philosophy is the same as back in 1994. Screw the "joga bonito". Win the match. Win the Cup. I really don't see anyone beating Brazil if they play their ugly-efficient game.
