For now, I am not impressed by WC2010. Hope later matches, like Brazil Portugal will give some satisfaction. Tomorrow a big match, but hell, I expected Uruguay France to be one too. The match was simply... horrible and disgusting!

Yeah I agree it was negative and dour. France didnt even seem like they were trying to win it with one up front the whole time.

Anyone who watched it on the BBC have you any clue what Emanuel Adebayor was saying? Im not even sure if he was using words or just making noises, if he talks for long enough he starts to sound like a vuvuzela.

Lol yes go Uruguay.
And I'm British against USA. Hehe

Then tomorrow we shall be enemies. But until then Viva Uruguay. I think im going for Argentina against Nigeria and South Korea against Greece.

The Irish tv station covering the world cup has had to issue an apology for the vuvuzela's because they had so many complaints about the noise and said they cant do anything about it. After one game . My neighbours may be complaining later if I decide to sing the Diego Forlan song.

I went to sleep, came back hoping you guys would have a "live blog" of posts for me to see and instead I find only 2 comments! about the match, Boo

Anyway... I'm going for UK because I'm fed up of reading retarted "who wants to watch this boring gay games" comments I keep finding everywhere and "NFL is so much better you losers". So yeah, let the English show some of what they got.

Argentina over Nigeria all the way too. Those guys keep having an amazing lineup, producing some of the best goals each competition, and somehow manage to not make it to the last run.

I can't cheer for South Korea after all the blatant cheating in 2002. I saw it first hand, it was a disgrace.

Can't I like both? I LOVE the NFL by the way. But futbol's fine too. True I only get interested when the World Cup comes around but when is the USA involved in a serious futbol series? Other than this one of course.

Edit: Clarity

Of course you can like both! I like other sports too, and don't enjoy some as well. However I don't feel the urge to troll cricket world cup sites telling people their hobby is gai/retarded/boring like so many americans are doing.

Now I am aware that those are not representative of the US as a country, etc, but I just read one too many trolls (some of them going to the lengths of google translating their stuff to post in Japanese sites!)

The Japanese brought me Ninja Warrior. To speak ill of them would be blasphemy.

Maybe this year someone will do something nasty like Zidane's headbutt. Dirty dirty French.
(Je suis demi français. Je peux dire ça.) :P

Who knows... every other WC, France is sent home after group phase without scoring a single goal! Like 2002... hahaha. And they got really lucky... that strike by Forlan near the end of the match would be a goal in 98% of his similar shots.

And hell yeah.. the fact one likes football, soccer or calcio does not interfere with one liking other sports. I am a huge basketball and volley ball fan, having played both myself and I'm absolutely crazy about F1 racing since I was a kid and went to see Fittipaldi in the first GP Brazil, then Piquet and the greatest of all, Ayrton Senna. And I like and play other sports too.

Now, come on... Argentina? remember 1990... Argentina 0x1 Africa (Cameroon). There's only one thing as good as watching Brazil win a match. That is watching Argentina lose theirs! Go Nigeria!!!!! woooohooo! ..(well, don't remind me about the rest of 90's campaign)

And those making predictions/prognosis here, you're welcome to try the WC pool and see how many right scores you get of all 64 matches... well... 62 left now! And it isn't all at once so we don't waste too much time doing it. One round at a time makes it quicker.

I'll be wearing my made in England shirt, yet watching the Lemans 24 hours, I leave the football fan stuff to my dad, unless they make it past the 1/4 finals (they don't have Beckham being a nonce so you never know).

Oohh early goal for South Korea this could get interesting. Looking forward to the Argentina game, I will support them even though given my club allegiance its very very difficult to support any team that contains Heinze and Tevez.

Korea broke your legs? Im not sure if I follow. It could be because I havent been awake for very long and this game isnt helping. I got distacted watching E3 preview on gametrailers so I have missed alot of what seems to be a quite boring first half.

I meant I placed S.Korea 0x1 Greece on the pool. But I shoould have known better. S.Korea has the skills for a good team and 2002 showed it, while I've always wondered how the frak an ugly team like Greece won the Euro Cup a few years back. I was hoping they would show some skill, after all they did qualify for the WC after many years. My bad... if they score, (everything is possible in football) it will be likely a loose ball that hit some greek's shin!

Well, it hit a Greek's shin alright! But not for them to score. Instead, they gave the ball for a great goal for S. Korea!

EDIT: Let's go Nigeria!!!

Ok im starting to think Argentina might have no chance of winning this. They are playing a left winger at rightback. Any decent striker or left winger will expose that.

Wow. 1x0 Argentina already. But, they already showed the thing that pisses me off about their football, they play dirty.
