I'm quite sure Argentina wins this one easily - can't be that all my predictions are off... Image IPB
But the evening game between USA and England is the first game I'm really looking forward to, before tomorrow
"my" team finaly joins the competition. However I've to sneak in watching F1 qualifying and the race this weekend, somehow...

oh, and of course:

Theme of the tournament so far seems to be missed chances.

Bah.. illegal goal. There was a clear foul in that play! Stupid referee!!!

Lol I actually agree. If you watch the replay I think its Samuel is holding one of the Nigerian defenders, he had him in a bear hug. I hate when things like that go on in the box and dont get called, it happens nearly every game. I know its hard for the ref to see who is holding who but it still annoys me.

Nigeria's keeper was awesome. I still not convinced by Argentina I'm not sure how they would deal with a better team than Nigeria they looked a bit dodgy at the back.

I must now become American partners, yeehaa.

Some alternate world cup voting. Voting on which countries footballer has the best looking wife/girl friend. (Only one of John Terry's counts I assume.)

I'm neutral for the next match... may the best Brit win! I guess it's like Brazil x Portugal for those not born in those countries.

Yes the Nigerian goal keeper was good, and Argentina's defense was full of holes... they also got tired midway and it showed. But they played better and deserved the win.

Go England! lol

Argentina played well and had better chances to score than Nigeria so they deserved to win although their goal was illegal. Next game I'll cheer for England, I like their football.

I meant I placed S.Korea 0x1 Greece on the pool. But I shoould have known better. S.Korea has the skills for a good team and 2002 showed it, while I've always wondered how the frak an ugly team like Greece won the Euro Cup a few years back. I was hoping they would show some skill, after all they did qualify for the WC after many years. My bad... if they score, (everything is possible in football) it will be likely a loose ball that hit some greek's shin!

Rage, because only Greeks know how to write epic myths. The fact that we won the Euro 2004 annoyed many, but personally I liked how a small country like mine without a football superstar humilated many football superpowers full of pride and arrogance. You propably won't see this again repeated by any other country in your life, so don't worry. After all our national sport is basketball, so I don't expect much from our football team, especially when most of our great players of  '04 have retired.

I fully support Spain to win this cup because I really admire their players. I was going to support Brazil too, but without Ronaldinho, I'm not so intrested to watch them. Congatulations to Korea for their fair victory against us.

Korea didn't show skill in 2002. They showed how easy it is to bribe FIFA officials.

Are you going for full on English face paint and wearing a flag around your shoulders?

I might dig out my US jersey from the 1994 world cup and suffer the indignity of realising it still fits me.

LOL. There's a guy in the US team which is named "Bocanegra". Translating in Portuguese this would mean "black mouth".
