You kidding with the saren fight right?
I mean apart from being the most utterly boring, frustrating and pointless boss-fight ever, it also just happens to be completely impossible if you play a pure grunt (unles you lower the combat difficulty) because the rate at which his shield recharges seems to beat any damage you can do... even with maxed skills and pure damage upgrades. I would actually be able to outdamage the shield if my companions weren't so bloody stupid, shooting the walls (or me) 90% of the time, standing around getting an RPG in the bung the other 10% of the time.
Such a totally random ending to an otherwise great game... gagh... can't believe I actually had to go through that again just to import my character into me2.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Huh. I've never played it as a pure grunt. When I took a biotic-heavy squad, liberal use of Lift made sure that Saren never hit the ground once as we tossed him about like a ragdoll. When I took a tech-heavy squad, it was Overload all the time. Then again, I take full control of my squadmates' powers so I can unleash them at my leisure.
Why not try the gibbed editor to modify a character for ME2? Less fuss, more options.

Yeah well he's a big pain when all you have is hot lead and no fancy pants superpowers, hehe.
No idea such a thing as gibbed editors existed. Either way, i'm passed it now, moved on to ME2, and enjoying it, so all is well... for now.

Well, if you ever want to play a different type of character in ME2 but don't want to mess with playing ME1 all over again, here's the gibbed save game editor that you can use. I don't have personal experience using it, but I've read enough about it on the forums to know your tweaking options with ME2 are considerable with it.
