Woah..

Woah to the guide or to the number of lines in ME2?

I still need to do a lot of updating to it, since each squadmate has "unique" or "rare" dialogue on the Normandy and/or their recruitment/loyalty mission. However, since there were so many to sort through for each mission, I just listed the number of total lines they had for that.

I didn't include [Rally the Crowd] for Tali's Loyalty mission because it doesn't add any new lines from Tali.

Both, that's a ****-ton of dialogue, and a great guide detailing it all.

Where would have the location took place? After you get off the Normandy I presume or was it a cut area?

Sergeant Haron? It seems like there's a missing Investigate option when you talk to him for the first time.

What I am wondering is how much dialogue was cut from Morinth. She seems to have it randomly placed in game. I wonder, if the disc split didn't happen the way it did, what extra dialogue we could have gotten out of her?!

Missing Dialogue

[color="#e6e6e6"]Sergeant Haron - Has a LOT more dialogue talking about Executor Pallin dying at the Battle of the Citadel and Executor Chellick taking over (some squadmates chip in too)

Jack/Zaeed on Omega - Dialogue can't be triggered, Jack mentions that Zaeed looks like a familiar mercenary

Zaeed, endgame First Fire Team - Zaeed was originally planned to be a successful First Fire Team Leader (but not 2nd), has an extra line along with Garrus and Miranda

Mordin, endgame Biotic Barrier - (Included in guide above) Mordin was originally planned to be a biotic specialist choice - and ALL biotics were planned to be successful at one point

Grunt, Thane, endgame Second Fire Team - (Included in guide above) Grunt and Thane were originally planned to survive Second Fire Team Leader (and not Garrus) - you can still trigger this by bringing 8 squadmates and killing off 5 of them before Grunt/Thane make it through the door

EDI/All squadmates, endgame Final Boss - All of them mention turrets to use against the Final Reaper Boss - was scrapped during level design or something

All squadmates, endgame Final Boss - Squadmates have lines trying to explain the existence of the Reaper to Shepard instead of EDI

How you know that?

Kaidan: QUICK! OPEN THE STATION'S ARMS! MAYBE THE FLEET CAN TAKE SOVEREIGN DOWN BEFORE HE REGAINS CONTROL OF THE STATION!
Ashley: QUICK! OPEN THE STATION'S ARMS! MAYBE THE FLEET CAN TAKE SOVEREIGN DOWN BEFORE HE REGAINS CONTROL OF THE STATION!

Kaidan: THIS IS BIGGER THAN HUMANITY! SOVEREIGN'S A THREAT TO EVERY ORGANIC SPECIES IN THE GALAXY!

Kaidan: YOU CAN'T SACRIFICE HUMAN LIVES TO SAVE THE COUNCIL! WHAT HAVE THEY EVER DONE FOR US?
Ashley: YOU CAN'T SACRIFICE HUMAN LIVES TO SAVE THE COUNCIL! WHAT HAVE THEY EVER DONE FOR US?

Why do they yell Bioware?
Oh and you forget Ashley, not like it matters everyone says same line.

The lines are left in the sound files. Since the sound file's name gives an approximate location, subarea, character spoken, and even the basic time-line on which the character would say that line, it's easy to discern where they may have said it.

Ashley doesn't have a line for "this is bigger than humanity" - it will always default to the other squadmate.

She doesn't want the Council to live at the cost of human lives.

I think if you paragon romance her she will advocate saving the council.

Can you upload those lines on Youtube?

I think I saw on Youtube that she does say that.
And seriously does anyone have theory why they yell?

Updated Jack's unique line for Miranda's loyalty - you have to select the Investigate option "Enyala's Involvement" during the last cutscene.

Ecael, is this just for the PC version of the game only?

It's for the game itself.

However, you won't get the Tali/Legion/Samara/Thane dialogue from the earlier recruitment missions unless you mod your save file.

You can mod both the 360 and PC game files to get all squadmates pre-Horizon.  Be warned though... it will break the game and Horizon won't start and if you put all squadmates as recruited it will force the crew abduction.... just make sure to have a earlier save so you can go back to that after you explore the extra dialogue.

Updated three lines for Grunt's loyalty quest (whatever results from a normal playthrough but skipping interrupts, I guess).

Grunt's Loyalty (krokgl) - Updated 6/10

Unique* Dialogue
*Grunt - 1 (At Shaman, skip Renegade Interrupt ~ What's your problem, Uvenk?)
*Grunt - 1 (Post-loyalty, Discuss ~ Krogan traditions with Shaman)
*Grunt - 1 (Post-loyalty, bring Grunt to the Mechanic)
Grunt - 34 (total)

Cool guide! Be even better if you had what each person said in these situations.

It won't force you if you have at least IFF mission revealed( Legion recruitment).

I thought about that, but I figured that would spoil all the fun of triggering the unique dialogue yourself.

Updated the line from Grunt while talking to Aria. Apparently, you have to take the Paragon option but use some of the "Renegade" dialogue when talking to her.

*Grunt - 1 (Patriarch side mission ~ Paragon option)
*Grunt - 1 (After Patriarch mission, ask Aria about Patriarch ~ That's playing dirty)

Apparently Samara has a line that I didn't run into in the hench_ files. Weird.

*Samara - 1 (Bring Samara to Officer Dara)
*Tali - 2 (Quarian Slave Trade quest, Synthetic Insights ~ Paragon/Renegade)

No Ashley will say the "this is bigger than humanity" if you've paragoned her.

Really? I was hoping she'd at least be unique in always opposing that decision.

I thought it was Kaidan that could be paragon'd?

The only character with a unique line (I think) is Wrex on Noveria when dealing with the Rachni Queen.

Hmm... you might be right - I can't think of any other place in the game where you'd get that kind of unique dialogue (other than the elevator, of course!).
