Any particular planet that I can make some money on? I'm lvl 9, just left the Citadel, and only have about $3,500. Any decent weapon or armor seems to cost AT LEAST 10X that amount.

btw - does the 'squad' size stay at 3 for entire game?? I was SO excited when I added another npc to my squad, only to find I can only use 2 at a time

How is the linearity of this game: if game expects you to go to planets A,B, C, D, E, F, etc, and I go to D,E,A,F, C,B, will I run into script problems or opponents too tough?

Any script bugs to watch out for?

Are store prices consistant, or vary store to store? If varied, any summary of stores available?

thnx for any help

The main way to make money is to sell equipment. The main way to get better equipment (which also sells for more) is to level up.

I wouldn't worry too much. The equipment you're getting (and that is available to buy) right now is not so great and will be outmoded as you level up anyway.

Yep, Shep + 2 is the limit.

No scripting problems, ME1 may have a few bugs but it's not that badly made that the non-linearity they designed in doesn't even work right. ;)

All enemies are scaled somewhat to your level, but you will encounter different types of enemies in different places. Difficulty is a matter of perspective, but if you want advice, I would say this place is the toughest main mission to hit first.

I believe they're consistent.

Kloreep,

thanks for your answers. Disappointed at the 2 npc limit in squad - all good rpgs have 3 (+you) !

Just sell stuff. As you do missions you will come across gear. I can't remember which missions specifically, but I have found that some missions give gear rewards slightly over your level.

Eventually you will find the problem is that you don't need money, but you keep getting more junk. I'm toiling away at a second play through with maxed out money, a full squad with tier 10 Spectre weapons, upgrades, and tier 10 armor for my core team. Most of what I find becomes omni jell which I have hundreds of! So don't worry about gear. It will quickly become annoying.

I do have some pointers on stores as some sell different armor types tied to licenses they have. Like the Volus on the Citadel in the upper markets sells Assassin armor. The Salarian in the lower markets will often carry the better Krogan/Turian armor, and I have gotten lucky to find Colossus Quarian armor twice! The Hanar on Noveria sells Titan which is pretty good. The Hanar on the Citadel in the Financial district doesn't usually have anything great to me. I do check up on him from time to time for upgrades.

I have found that the Volus on the Citadel, and the Hanar on Noveria will always carry those brands. They are also within 1 tier of your level. So if you are over level 50 they will almost always have tier 10 of their specific brand.

Well in addition to armor each "store" has it's particular brand of fire arm too, but I rarely pay attention to weapons. You'll be up to your ears in guns, but finding good armor can be a pain. Once you unlock Spectre weapons all other weapons will be inferior.

Hahren ,

I'm just beginning to see the problem of too much junk, spend a lot of time converting level 1/2/3 stuff. Game developer should have allowed selecting many items to Omni at one shot, instead of 2 mouse clicks per item!!!

Thanks for tips on armor.

btw, I'm up to $65,000 now, and don't see much to buy, but I need to get back to Citadel
