Hello, having another problem that hopefully someone has a solution to. For some reason, when I create new VFX (both crust and placeable), and do Post to Local, they never show up in the models palette.

I first did the VFX tutorial at http://social.biowar...hp/VFX_tutorial and that worked fine when I posted to local. It showed up in the model palette just as the tutorial said it would. I have since made a couple more VFX projects but after I post to local, I can't find a trace of them anywhere (save for the *.vfxproj files I saved). I even went so far as to open the tutorial project file that had been successful, renamed it and tries to post. Even that one won't show up in the model palette. I have tried posting by right clicking the root node and from the Tools->Export menu and neither seem to work. The log window shows it processing successfully with no errors and the export directories look correct as well.

Has anyone else encountered this, where posting a vfx works one time but all subsequent attempts seems to fail? Am I missing something obvious here (which is often the case)?

throwing this out because ive seen this mistake a couple of times before... you havent been mistaken in the name your resource exports to, have you?

the name is not defined by the save name of the vfxproj, its defined by the root object's Name property. it will overwrite an existing resource going by this name, and if you're disregarding it because you think its something else, then that could be your problem?

its a long shot, but your issue sounds distinctly fishy.
