Sorry I'm on my iPod an it won't let me type in the oriinal post for some reason. So can I reach lvl 60 before this playthrough ends? I plan on beating eveyside quest and I may be beating it on insanity(infiltrator class). Can I reach Lvl 60? Also, does the difficulty effect the amount of exp gained? Thanks all

nope it does do anything tuning the difficulty up, as i said above, it takes near enough an entire playthrough to get from 59 to 60 let alone anything else.

I was last a level 30 when I completed my first game, and made it to level 44 my second completion, and currently a level 56 with my 3rd play through ( I can likely get level 60 before completing my 3rd play... before getting to the last level again)

I think the more geth or opponents you take out yourself the more points you alone get for leveling up... don't let your team do all the work.

I can say yes you can if and I mean if you do every side quest, find all the metals deposits on every planet you go to. Find all the Turian ID tags, and find all the Asari Matriarch data discs and prothean data discs and so on. I did it in two play throughs with an infiltrator class so it can be done but it's as difficult as hell to do. Because every little bit of experience helps. You get experience for finding all those metals deposits. Get out of the Mako to fight geth unless its a collossus or harder type then stay in the mako. Kill every thresher maw you come across on every planet you land on.

To all you nay sayers, I did it on the 360 and it was a pain in the ass to do cause killing those thresher maws even in the mako is hard cause of that acidic spit they use on you.

No, it doesn't. It's absolutely possible to reach level 50 to level 60 in a single playthrough. In fact, by the time I reached level 60, I was still on the Mako in Virmire.

But, you have to be very, very thorough.

Heh. All I did was have my Mako jump when the thresher maw spits. I survived a lot of encounters using that method, then killed them off by foot once their health is low. It was more of pain in the ass than hard.

monkeycameron, do you have Pinnacle Station? As far as I know Level 50 to Level 60 is pretty much impossible, even with BDTS.

Yeah. Why? Does the amount make a difference? Between level 59 to level 60, the amount of experience gained from each challenge is ~2000xp. I can't recall the amount with the final challenge, but I don't think it was a lot.

I came so close once, but I settled on level 59. Had other games to play and a girl friend too. (Still have a girl friend. Same one I think...)

You don't need Pinnacle station, I did it with bring down the sky and reached level 60 with my level 50 Shepard, the only thing you have to do is everything and I mean everything, every side-mission, every mineral even every Thresher maws (actually these are important because of the 2x xp glitch when you kill one).
In short Yes it is possible, just make sure you do everything

PS. also make sure that you don't kill anything in the mako because you won't get the full xp, just weaken them until the are almost death, get out and shoot
