The game needs....RPG features.  It's got some features that would be cool in an RPG game (Owning houses, getting married, etc), but now it needs to be expanded upon.

Edit:  I don't think Peter will go far enough in that direction.

to be fair, i think the 2 player coop will be a big improvement over Fable2, and i think 2player coop has the chance of being the single best feature of fable3.

I don't want to seem like a cynic but I really have all but lost confidence in Fable. When the first one came out, it was fun, it had promise, I thought "hey, this could be great rpg in the future if they make the right changes." Then everything went down the drain(as far as my tastes are concerned). Here I thought that a sequel meant they would expand on the rpg side of things, make the story better, less kiddish, add more weapons etc. But it seems that's not what PM had in mind. He's going in completely the opposite direction as I though Fable would. Instead of adding more spells or a deeper combat, he cuts everything to the bone, makes the combat annoyingly simple, same cartoony style. And now that he's decided to drop that "rpg" tag from the game, my interest is totally gone. It seems the only thing that the rpg tag was doing was keeping him from making the game even simpler.

I understand the appeal for people who just want to run around and not think, but not for me, thanks. It seems the good aspects of Fable 1 were a fluke.

Er, Fable 1 was absolute trash.  Fable 2 was at least a decent game in and of itself.

Some of these reasons are why I am glad I have a 360.

Meh..... Fable: The Lost Chapters was great, Fable 2 sucked, but this one might turn out good.

Only thing I don't like about Fable III is that the atmosphere is exactly the same as Fable II's. In Fable I it took place in a dark ages setting but fable II took place 500 years later so the era was more visually reminiscent of Victorian-era Europe.

It would've been nice if we had a new setting in this game.

Fable is a good franchise, Molyneux just need's to stop over hyping it becuase people are expecting to much and are getting left dissapoited becuase they got less than they where promised. Molyneux must have wanted to be a politician when he was younger.

Am I the only person that really truly enjoyed the games? Sure, the stories are never really intriguing, but most of the time the game is lighthearted. It's not a game to poor yourself into for hours and hours but it is still a good, quick game. Fable 2 was pretty short, but I still enjoyed it.I've always thought they were good for the kinds of games they are.

Molyneux's words may be a lot of hot air, but doesn't stop him from making Fable a decent to good game series. I've bought Fable (the Lost Chapters too), Fable II, and I've never regretted it. So I'm definitely gonna get Fable III, no matter what people say about it.

It's The Sims on steroids. It'll suck like the last 2.

I hope when this game is released they'll make a Black and White III.

Depending on how handled, that could be really good.

Fable 2 will probably never come to PC

Fable 3 however IS coming to PC. It's been confirmed

Black and White II was fun so was battle of the Gods, but it felt unfinished.  I would love to see a 3rd one with more god powers, gods, and rts elements and most importantly multiplayer.

So far I'm uninterested. I'll wait until I see more before I make a decision as usual, but it doesn't look promising.
