I notice that the Dragon Age forums are chock full of fanfiction threads, so why not start a discussion here, instead of spamming images in the character support threads? I notice very few people here peddling their fan fiction so far. There is actually a lot of ME fan fiction on FanFiction.net:

Personally, I am working on a piece of fan fiction which deals with the events after ME2 entitled "The End" (second link on my signature). I don't know how it will end or even when I will finish it, but it's clocking in at close to 10,000 words so far, spread across three chapters (with another one in the works). I'm guessing it will be 50,000 to 100,000 words by its end. 

This is the first time I have ever written fan fiction (or real fiction in general), and I have noticed I primarily encounter difficulties whenever I am trying to write dialogue between characters. Given that ME2 has never given many pointers on how the crew members thought about one another (beyond Miranda vs. Jack and Tali vs. Legion), much of this dialogue is actually up for interpretation. 

Anyways, post your fan fiction here! Also, we can use this thread to discuss writing strategies.

just read thru the 5 chapters. the lingo used in the CDS trading in the last chapter kinda confused me but the a/n kinda explained it.  good read overall

Hey there everyone. Any of you who visit the Liara thread may recall me posting links to my fanfiction a few times. It's been ongoing for over a years, and is currently 21 chapters and nearly 70,000 words. It's a FemShep/Liara/Tali fic that takes place during ME 1, but with my own version of events (not really AU, but tweaked here and there, and featuring my own version of the Shadow Broker). Well, I'm taking a break from my fanfic (university workload has been killing me as of late), but I feel that the tepid response to my fanfic is the result of poor storytelling and poor pacing. I know, I am hardly the best storyteller, but I do certainly try. I am thinking about scrapping my current fic and working on a new one instead, this time with a more cohesive storyline.

Thoughts?

I have a membership on FanFiction.net now which I just opened yesterday, but they have a two day waiting period before new members can upload anything, so that's actually part of the plan for tomorrow or Sunday.

Loved is a behind the scenes retelling of ME2 with my paragrade Vanguard. 

A Paragon of Virtue is a story telling what I think the events between ME2 & ME3 could be with my paragon Adept.  It is, however, Shenko, but that's not the point of the story.

The Shepard Project is an AU retelling of both games and the events in between by myself, Sapphyreelf, and Jillyfae.  It involves all three of our Vanguard Shepards.

Bring this thread back to life from the depths, since any and all other fanfic threads unfortunately get buried, fast.

I'm currently writing an original story based in the ME universe. It's far from finished (I have yet to even come up with a title, and only six chapters in), but far from forgotten. Since this is my first ever full sized writing project, I was thinking of putting it out somewhere chapter at a time for some entertainment, and possible constructive criticism.

Unfortunately, I have no idea where/how to begin this process.
Preferrably some place that lets me re-upload chapters with ease? I find myself retweaking said chapters every other day...

I agree. A large compendium of Mass Effect fics is in order.

SOLD is a saint for doing that for the DA fics. I do not have the time to volunteer myself for that, however.

Neither do I, unfortunately. I do know there is a growing list of fics born out of this community, though, so I hope we can find someone to spearhead the Mass EfFic project.
