I would like to discuss the reason nobody likes Thane.  Is it his boring loyalty quest?  Or his annoying flashbacks.   Discuss.

I do not mind thane.....I used to hate him before the game came out because of the 3646437364 threads made by fangirls about how hot he was and had the alpha-dog-urge to bust a few caps in his knees and groin just to remind him who the bigger dog is but when the game came out I grew to like his phylosophical approach and all...it helped that he was not half the cocky jackass he appeared to be in his reveal trailer....

Plus his flashbacks get annoying.

I don't like thane.



He sneaks about, and doesn't like to kill all the guards and bystanders. I, however, do like to kill everything with a pulse, I don't consider the mission a success unless the building is on fire, the guards are all dead, the army has been mobilized, and I've been added to at least one government agency's most wanted list.



Thane just doesn't work like that and so I don't really like him.

Thane is in my main team. He performs, he is cool(ish) and while I am not a fan of his flashbacks his backstory and story are solid enough.

He's pretty good with maxed shredder ammo and an SMG, spec'd marksman.

He seems a bit effeminate to me but otherwise pretty ho hum.  Recruitment mission is great

I don't really like him.

I mean, I use him a lot in combat, and his recruitment and loyalty missions were fun -- I just don't like his character. The whole spiritual assassin thing doesn't make sense. He kills "bad" people, prays for forgiveness, then goes right on killing again. If he really felt that bad about it, then he'd stop assassinating people.

I don't like Thane either. The character does nothing for me, in fact I barely ever use him in the game.

On topic:
I think Thane is okay as a character, but he's a bit useless and (as smud pointed out in some other thread) the fact that we recruit him at all is just bizarre i.e. WTF do we need an assassin for? Who are we going to assassinate?
