is there anyway to keep this from happening in the future?
and is there anyway to fix this short of redownloading everything?
So all of my DLC randomly curropted

theres not really much to eleborate on,
I was playing and got bored with my current char
went to the title screen to make a new one and it said
all of my DLC was curropted. Before I quit my old save
I was at Ostagar so I have no clue.

Well, I'll try to be brief. For whatever reason, Bioware made the game spit out this message that says something like "Your DLC has been corrupted, please download it again" or something like that. The truth is that this may or may not be the case. The message is GENERIC and can refer to other things.
Anyway, do you always play connected to Xbox live when you play the game? There's an issue with the "digital rights" to the DLC where the game won't let you play offline. If you aren't connected to the DA servers, the game tells you the DLC is corrupted. That's actually not the case. It's just that the game thinks it's not authorized to use and therefore won't load.
There's a way around this. But since I don't have all the info it may not be appropriate to your issue. I'll link the thread anyway. Maybe you can read switzki's instructions and see if you think it applies.
