My only concern with this is the sooner you get it....the weaker it is. I was lvl 18 when I first got the armor in my first play through. But was round 9 or 10 the 2nd time. It has the same abilities but protection was literally cut in half. I hated that so I backed out and hopefully it's up higher when I come back. Thankfully cold staff was still same high stuff. I wonder if that happens with the dragon armor, jaggernute armor, and such. Oh and the sword was dumbed down horribly I hated it as well. so I'll be back to it at higher lvls.
You mean juggernaut? I've read several times that you can sell the Warden commander armor to the merchant there, come back in a tiny bit and it'd be upgraded.

Yup. Red Steel armour acquired at level 13(?). Sold and re-bought as Dragonbone two levels later.

I have a silly question. How do you upgrade the armour?
Sell to your camp vendor and buy it back. You might have to exit out of the vendor after selling it, talk to the vendor again, and then buy it. I sold the family shield and it was upgraded in the camp vendor's inventory.
I heard that depositing the item in the camp storage mod chest works also.

Ahhh - I was afraid it would disappear if I sold it. Thanks I will try that.
If you're afraid of that happening:
- make a save before you sell it.
- sell it to the vendor
- check vendor and buy back if it is still there
- reload if it isn't there
Upgrading items doesn't work on all items. I think it just works on things that "scale" based on the level you get them like the Warden Commander Armor.

Juggy armor is available by completing a side quest in the brecilian. I prefer it for tanking over the blood dragon armor at present.
Ahh, thanks. I was worried I missed it or something.

I tried this method of selling to Cera in Vigil's Keep my Warden Commander set at Tier 6, but it didn't get upgraded to anything higher. I was hoping to get it as tier 8-9.. it still looks great but not as powerful as some other gears such as the Sentinel armor set for a Templar. I have the Sentinel set for Justice now.
It doesn't work in Vigil's Keep . . . only Warden's Keep, only gear from the Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar DLC, and only in the original Dragon Age Origins.
How did you get your Warden Commmander's armor into Awakening? That set and the Blood Dragon armor don't transfer per patch 1.03.

Yes - and Maric's sword and shield - and Duncan's sword and dagger.

There are a few files going around, notably here and also dragon age nexus which is a DLC patcher that puts your DLC content of Warden's Keep into Awakenings. I'm sure someone else will post a direct link soon, if not just check the Project Parts, or Dragon Age Nexus and you'll find it easily there.
