My favoured medium is NOT cartoons.

I don't like Homer Simpson, I don't watch South Park...etc etc.
And I don't favour anime.
I kind of like Dragon Age the way it is portrayed now.
"I'm turning Japanese, oh yes I'm turning Japanese, oh yes I think so ....(song)"
Hehehe but to each their own. IF this is the prediction for the future of Dragon Age, then I will be done, when it becomes fact..thats all.
So Bioware loses ONE fan.....ah well.

Thats the way the cookie bounces.
bleh I was referring to the general opinion of favoring a Western studio, but anyway, so your franchise gets ONE spin-off on a medium that you happen have an unjustified dislike for, and you drop the entire franchise?
yeah. I hope you're just taking the troll-by-bewildering route and not actually serious with that. If you are, then BioWare won't be losing much.
and LOL @ the implication that only the natives of a country should like that country's products.. <_<
Grim.
HOW do you KNOW ...that its ONE spin-off? Do you know that....do I know that? I'm taking a wait and see attitude here, but I already know what I like and I don't like.
It all depends which way the cards fall...and evidently one of the CEOs is ALREADY crowing about some "NEW" graphics coming up.....we'll see what he means by that.

Gee whiz...I thought that all customers mattered to Bioware, is my money worth less than yours?

And implication of what?
No implication, that is YOUR personal bias sticking out there, I never said any such thing ..AT ALL.
I am attempting to be civil, heh you aren't ...this anime stuff must be really near and dear to your heart, so much so that you can't seem to see or hear another point of view. You have assumed much about me from your responses to me, and yet you can't seem to accept what I am ACTUALLY SAYING. Can you?

I am responding to you with my own brand of sense of humour. Still am

Humor and sarcasm tend to fail in written form.
People often take things I say as being far more aggressive then I mean when I try to "sound" sarcastic, so perhaps that's the issue.
On the main point you seem sure that the portrayal will differ in anime form. But do you have any reason to think it will be different than the game or Wardens fall (which is far more cinematic and dark than the game cutscenes), with the exception of the odd opening Batman gotham knights matched up to the source material quite well, halo had one intentionally over the top segment and the rest was fairly contestant, and the animatrix matched the movies in the places it should. We don't know anything yet if bioware says "hey make it like a shoen anime" then you could get all the big eyes and yelling. But that's not likely to happen and the end result will likely be representative of the source material.
And in regards to the people who think it "easternized" you don't seem to be familiar with anime at all. Many are very "western" (I use these terms subjectively) in subject matter, setting, style, and story. So being as they are working off a western type world the fear they will daoise it or call the archdemon a dragon is silly. Also consider how they adapt their anime from comic or video game for that matter they tend to be far closer to the source material than American movies or cartoons so don't really think anybody should be too worried.
That is of course unless this is like marvels manga verse and they bioware wants it to reflect Japanese tropes and stereotypes, which again I highly doubt.
