Well as some of you may know, or not know, this achievment feels a little bugged. Ive ran through this DLC a couple of times now and my Ogre never dies. Its been alive through the entire thing. I still wont get the achievment.

And yes, i did enthrall the right ogre in the palace district, the one banging on the door/wooden crap thing.

Did look around for solutions and tried deleter all the Darkspawn Cronicles saves and then replaying the DLC. Still same problem. What i did notice that was odd was that on the very first run, my ogre were injured, as if it had died. I then restarted the DC campaign and this time the ogre was fine. Maybe thats one source of the problem.

Any other ideas? Would really not like to reinstall game and all DLCs, expansion and the like. While its possible to "save" the saves in another location i would hate to have something bad happen to it all.

Thanks in advance and sorry if its ben mentioned before, cant find anything about it in this forum.

EDIT: After reading through some stickies i Would also like to add that im using the latest patch. I believe its 1.03? I guess i have the EU version of the game since i live in Sweden. Dont know if there are more localized versions. I got Awakening installed, aswell as The Stone Prisoner, Wardens Keep, Return to Ostagar and of course Darkspawn Cronicles.

Im a completionist and getting every achievment is part of the game for me. ;)

I have the same problem Nabyrie, I even ran through it again tried the "other" Ogre to see if I had the wrong one, the new ogre I chose didn't have any influence raised. Unless its a problem with the influence somehow.

Thanks for posting this, I was thinking I was the only one that had a problem with not getting this achievement. I have deleted my hurlocks about 4 times, still no luck. Think it must have been released with this bug. I'm on PC btw.

Any other information required about my PC (mods or techies) please message me and I will post up what you need. For now I have kind of given up on it, but it would be nice to get the last two achievements, I have 97 currently. :)

Free bump

1. Yes, I have exactly the same problem. I have posted in another thread on this, so others do also.

2. no suggestions to try... nothing I've tried has worked.

2a. I made a save where you release the ogre from behind the gate, and played through to the end from there with each ogre in the area, no luck.

comment: the approval of the ogre behind the gate varies when you get it. I saw it once at 100% and was sure I had "my" ogre, but no. I have also seen it at neutral, when the ogre I had before the cutscene was high approval.

Still no responses to this? If the ogre starts out "injured" then that might be what is causing this problem. I wonder if reloading til you get a healthy ogre would work? Anyone at Bioware paying attention to this bug? Thanks.

Yes I can't seem to get the influence achievement either..not sure why.  Got the main achievement for defeating the "good guys" first time I played.  I've done this dlc about 4 or 5 times now, deleted, tried again..rinse repeat, can't get anywhere with it.

If someone knows  workaround to get these to work,  I'd sure appreciate it.   Doesn't look like we're going to get anyone "official" answering.

I have the same issue.I read this at the Dragon Age wiki:"The achievement Ogre's Keeper will not unlock if the first ogre dies, at all, no replays or difficulty changes allows the achievement to "pop". If you miss it on your first playthrough, you miss out on it entirely."

At last I managed to unlock it.. I deleted the \\\\\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Characters\\HurlockVanguard folder of my first run and it went fine. I unlocked it!

I'm assuming the check for this achievement is the same as for the "I'm Kind of a Big Deal" achievement - if the injury count on the ogre is 0 at the end of the game, you get it (viewed from the character sheet --> Heroic Accomplishments).

My ogre starts with an injury. I've deleted my character folders and restarted the campaign at least a dozen times, but the ogre always starts off injured. I've even deleted and re-installed the Darkspawn Chronicles DLC twice - still nothing.

Anyone else have an idea?

a quick answer would be get 3 allys dont, mark as ally the ogre on the beggining just let him follow you kill every single soldier then when you can go to the market kill one of your mates and add the ogre, now you will have the achievement unlock. XD or you use the second ogre XD and also get the achievement.

I was having the same issues as everyone here, and I did try deleting my saves and doing the campaign again still nothing, now I have finally found the solution and it did work for me. The problem being is if you have EVER played the campaign before and let EITHER Ogre die then the achievement seems to be locked no matter how many times you start a new campaign, load an older save, or delete the saves altogether. Basically I had to manually remove the dlc itself and the saves, that is important you must delete BOTH the dlc and the saves BEFORE you re-download the dlc and start a new campaign. I had to do this twice the re-downloading of said dlc and deleting of saves, because I did enthrall the right Ogre at the end BUT the other Ogre died before entering the final battle. So in order to get this achievement you must keep the ogre alive up until he leaves your party, enthrall that same ogre after opening the gate, and make sure the yellow named Ogre stays alive up until you enter the new area for the final battle.

In terms of actually playing the campaign itself I had the difficulty set to normal not sure if it works on casual nor was I going to try, yes the ogre I enthralled at the beginning had an injury, but it did not matter. I hope this helps some folks!

Oh one more thing some of you might not be comfortable deleting said folders that have this campaign worried you might delete something important, I will say without a doubt I am a novice when it comes to computers, but this was rather easy to do. First social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/58/index/81613 go to that link and scroll down to see the name of the darkspawn chronicles folders, so you know I am telling the truth. Then do my documents/bioware/dragon age/addins and look for the dao_prc_drk there are three of them delete those three folders, and then make sure in the characters folder you delete the ones with the hurlock name. Then go in game and redownload said campaign and good luck!
