 So I saw this article:
http://dragonage.wik...sts_Ideal_Order

Basically it gives the recommended order you should do the main quests in Origins.

What is the recommended order for the main quests in Awakenings?

Go to Amaranthine first and save Blackmarsh for the last. The rest is more or less irrelevant. Go to Wending Wood first if you need another mage and go to Kal'Shirok first if you need a dual-wielding rogue and superior set of massive armour.

Is the Blackmarsh considered most difficult? I was thinking of going there right away to get a sword/shield tank (Justice).

No, but Justice won't go through the Joining, so you might not be able to recruit Velanna or Sigrun into the Wardens, although I believe there are workarounds (returning to Vigil's Keep as soon as they join your party, even though that's a glitch since they don't express their desires to join the Wardens until you finish their respective parts of the main quest).

So it has nothing to do with difficulty but it's another glitch really since you won't be able to recruit new Wardens once all three branches are completed...which might not be that big of a deal really, since I doubt it has any influence for anything which might happen later. We all know that Awakening is rushed, afterall.

I have read that you do not want to complete all of the Amaranthine quests until you have completed Sigrun's personal quest first. I believe it is the Law & Order/Smugglers Run quests that should remain.

I am still searching for a detailed walkthrough myself, as I dislike having to reload due to my O-C nature.

I wouldn't recommend that.

Black marsh has

1) fade boosts
2) the main ingredients for the Vigilence sword
3) Sentinal armor
4) Justice

From what I understand, Justice is already a Warden and can't go through the ritual again. Something about this apparently causes the game to fail to allow any other members you pick up afterwards to go through the Joining Ritual. I have no idea if this causes them to become unusable, but for story purposes, at the very least, it's annoying.

Honestly, you might want to consider going to get Sigrun. She can be recruited and put through the Joining without having to complete her area's quest so you can get her and then progress along later.

Ah so it is some bug with getting Justice. That's a pain because I want a sword/shield tank. Oh well, Oghren will have to do.

I'm not sure if it's perfect, but here's the "Bug Dodging" order I put together:

Complete the opening quest.
Complete "The Righteous Path" (Wending Wood, after a BRIEF stop in Ameranthine to talk to Mervis) - remove all of your Warden's gear before entering the Silverite Mine.
Complete "Last of the Legion" (Knotwood Hills, after a BRIEF stop in Ameranthine to talk to Colbert)
Gain as much approval with party members as possible.
Go to Ameranthine with the companion from Last of the Legion.
Complete all sidequests that you can.
Complete "Shadows of the Blackmarsh"
Complete any remaining sidequests.

I like to do Blackmarsh first in order to get the stat boosts. I just use the work-around for whichever companion I pick up last (other than Justice who doesn't go through the Joining). I usually get Velanna last since she's my least favorite character. You can have them all Join as long as you don't complete the section that you find the last companion in... ie Take Velanna back to Vigil's Keep and go through her Joining before doing the Silverite mines. It's a bit glitchy in the dialog since she'll ask to become a Grey Warden at the end of the mines, but oh well.
