My preference is Tali. But I think all of the romances and romance interests are good...except Jacob. My second favorite is Jack/Miranda.

Hating on Jacob? Heavy risk...

You can't resist pushing my buttons.

OT: I ended up picking Tali, personally, but for what it's worth, I seriously considered Jack. If as I hope there's a female turian LI in ME3, I might go back and change things.

In my first playthrough of Mass Effect I always wanted to romance Tali instead of Liara but when I realised that wasn't an option I went for her. On subsequent playthroughs however I started liking liara more and more and was certain I was going to stay with Liara for the whole trilogy. I had also planned however, to romance Tali just enough so that if I wanted I could dump Liara and go back to her...And it's a good thing I did as after the immensly unsatisfying reunion with Liara (and I was fine with her new personality, just the fact that it was hardly acknowledged and it was as if she didn't care) I immediately went to Tali.

I'll do the same in Mass Effect 3 (romance both just enough so I can start the romance with a back-up) though and aslong as Tali is a squadmate I'll romance her UNLESS Liara is a squadmate too.

Tali, as I find her the most personable and the romance makes emotional sense to me. Jacks romance was also good, but held no attraction for me. I would want to help her through her problems, but a relationship? No. Miranda didnt seem to have much of an emotional level for me, seemed more along the lines of 'I apreciate your help, I like you apreciate ME not what I can do, here is some affection'.

As femshep it is a hard choice between Garrus and Thane, Jacob doesnt make the cut. Garrus, from some of what he says, seems like he would already be head over heals in love with Shep if she were Turian (I found it funny he is the only person to bring up the awkardness of an interspecies relationship in game, not counting Tali as with her it was her 'condition' not that they were diff species). Thane is an engaging character, the more I talked to him the more I liked him. I cant point specifically at what I liked in the romance, but I found it worked.

I stuck with Ash, but it was SO hard the first playthrough, lol. First you've got Miranda giving you the F-me look for trying to cheer her up, then Tali being adorable and awkward and obviously head over heels, and then finally even Jack falls for me while I'm trying to help her through her issues!

I stuck with Ash, and liked the scene where Shep goes to his cabin before the mission to see her picture, but I REALLY wish that I could have turned down the romance for the other characters and been able to keep talking to them. After I said no to a relationship, they were all "There's a lot of work to do, I'm in the middle of some diagnostics, I'm done talking come back later." Ugh, women...and alien women... =P

ME1: FemShep: Kaidan, MaleShep: Tried to romance Ash but she completely hated my guts, lol

ME2: FemShep: Garrus, MaleShep: Haven't done one yet, but I'm going to try Jack's romance.

This is only the four thousandth thread or so I have seen like this, but I am a rabid fangirl so I must contribute.  Garrus all the way.  He's my favorite Bioware LI along with Alistair.  Thane I like pretty well.  Kaidan and Jacob are meh.

For dudeshep I greatly prefer Tali.  After her I like Liara than Ash.  Miranda and Jack are meh.

My first choice WAS always Miranda for obvious reasons haha. Once I looked past looks, it is Tali hands down. She is the only female romance option that is favored for her personality over physical attributes, I like the dynamic of that. I was forced to see every facet of her, because I have no physical appareance (face) to compare. In Mass Effect 1, it was Ashley. It just seemed more logical. We had more in common. Human, Alliance military I did choose Liara on my first ever playthrough though.

ME1 paragon femshep: fairly interested in Kaidan's story, but he ended up babysitting the bomb; I needed Ashley

ME2 paragon femshep: liked the male characters as friends; too busy saving the galaxy and coping with resurrection complications to snog anyone

ME2 paragade John Shepard: completely fell for Tali...and then refused to let her put her health at risk, especially when cut off from quarian medicine right before the end mission

Thane, Garrus, Jacob, Liara, Or Kaiden for the ladies.

Well I chose Tali because she is so cute and seems to be more dedicated to Shepard than anyone else (Except Liara.)

But I'm always wondering if it was the right choice it seemed a little unfair Miranda by far has the most... satisfiying romance scene. Why could Tali get something that good the ME2 romance scenes aren't even refered to as sex scenes at all.

In ME1 they were called Sex scenes but somewhere down the road ME2 made Romance scenes I thought ME2 was supposed to be dark and mature. Guess I'm just saying I wish Tali would have gotten a more satisfiying Love scene.

ME2 is as "Dark and Edgy" as that kid that wears to much black and cut's him/herself. You know the one.

I have a feeling they will reveal Tali's face in ME3 if she's your love interest. I really hope they make her better looking than those pictures and video's I've seen where through a glitch you can see behind her face mask - I know her face was not completely fleshed out but it sure looked goofy.
