It just amounts to wasted forum space
If anyone complaining about a problem doesn't choose to include data to use for diagnostics, answers just aren't possible. PCs are not *anything* at all like game console systems. OK, perhaps that really isn't new to you, but think how many noobs a big hit game like this attracts. There is almost nothing that is truly "standard" between various branded PCs, making the game developers' jobs very difficult, and requiring that warning labels be attached to game boxes for those games that have serious requirements.
In case you have misunderstood how to evaluate your PC compared to that game box label (and you may believe you do understand, and actually end up being mistaken), we have to start from that point. Please fill it all in (if you have a problem with doing that easily, and are in the DA:O (and ME) Social Site Forums, do a search for "Basics" without the quote marks).
Basic Hardware Specification Chart (Empty so far)
Processor Manufacturer: AMD / Intel
Processor Name / Type: Athlon 64 / Pentium / C2D / dual core / quad, etc.
Processor Speed: ?.? Ghz (or AMD Performance Number)
Operating System / Service Pack: WindowsXP with SP #?, Win7, Vista ? (Oh, no!)
System RAM: ? ? GBs (MBs, if less than 1024 ? )
Video (GPU) Manufacturer: ATI / Nvidia (only those two are supported, PERIOD, so please answer which of them you have)
Video Card Model: (examples) Radeon HD 5670 / Geforce GT 240
Video Card Driver Version: Catalyst ?.? / Nforce ??.??
. . (please use the numbers, not the word "latest")
Video Card onboard RAM: ? ? ? MBs
Sound Card Manufacturer:
Sound Card Model:
(And this is only for the raw hardware & driver variations. Potential software conflicts are far more likely to be game play problems, and developers cannot test for all possible program loads.)
It's not really a case of "right or wrong", it's possible to answer or not, more or less, complete or incomplete. When you are serious about getting other gamers to assist, you include the information. Remember, this is not official tech support. That is on the EA web site, but they need the same exact data there also.
P. S. Please use every day business style paragraph breaks, punctuation, and spelling. Solid blocks of unbroken text must be ignored, and also any juvenile IM/TM-style misspelled & unintelligible gibberish.

Are you the one to handle this problem? Then how she writes is really none of your concern, now is it?
Unfortunately the Cranky One is correct, this isn't the place and his links are good. They should help you out, even if the messanger leaves a lot to be desired.
Oh, and FYI, people post on this forum and English may not be their first language. So commenting on paragraphs and writing in general, is really rather rude and a big assumption on your part.

Thank you Gil, I have no problem being told that I posted incorrectly; or even that I need to provide more information. I however will not respond to someone who treats me as though I am a complete idiot for asking a question. I openly admitted to not being tech savvy thus why I needed assistance. I will pursue the correct avenues to get the problem resolved and I thank Gorath for the links that will enable me to proceed.
just a note for future refrences with major problems like this what gorath is telling you is necessary but with more minor problems (whether you are tech savy you'll know a major or minor problem from one another) a brief description will ordinarily give you a speedy response from another user who knows a fix though including your Operating System and type of Graphics Card (GPU) and such is always a good rule to follow, sometimes gaming on a laptop or a desktop has a big impact as well.
from experience most people here are Generally amiable and willing to help out Gorath is just edgey apparently

I would however, humbly suggest that if you are in the customer service trade, you get out of it.

Get off your high horse and learn to relate to people (you are in the customer service field after all) and quit assuming (after all, we all know what happens when one assumes) that you are the end all be all of an industry that is in its own foreign language, again on a forum on which many people do not speak English, let alone COMPUTER, as a first language.

No one actually taking time answering questions here is being paid for it. Now, why don't you & Lopez untwist all of the knots in your G-strings, and actually offer a useful answer, or else QUIT WITH THE FREAKING SPAM! If you aren't part of the answer, then you are just another problem. There is nothing in between any lines anywhere.Gilgamesh1138 wrote...
Again, wow, Gorath, you really are just full of thejackasseryaren't your? She wasn't complaining, she was asking for help. Which you did give it to her, so kudos.

Lopez read something in his imagination and starting squealing like a Guinea Hen, then you chimed in, and you have her thinking there was some hidden agenda aimed at distaff gamers or something, when there's no such thing, and there actually is a message thread named "How to really report a game problem", which everyone who regularly visits here would already know about, or a very easy click of a mouse button would have revealed.
As it is now, you can research the entire situation and fill my shoes, if you have the patience for it. I'm tired of this foolishness out of the three of you.
Very basic discussion of video cards, video chips, and even of laptops' limits:

I genuinely apologize for my egregious error in not including the laundry list of information that is required to report a problem.
I have admitted to being a "noob" (now who is utilizing the juvenile "lingo"). I am sincerely sorry for the fact that I do not spend my life sitting in front of a computer playing video games and therefore do not know every component contained within my PC. I do however realize that there is a difference between console gaming and PC gaming thus why I came to the PC Technical Support forum as opposed to the XBox 360 Technical Support forum.
As previously stated, I have no problem being pointed in the correct direction when it comes to seeking a resolution to a problem; however there is a right and wrong way to approach the situation. Treating someone like they are a complete moron would be the wrong way to approach it. The only thing that you accomplish is you ****** people off and make yourself look like a jackass.
From this moment on I will make sure to include all of the required information in my post as well as double check that it is being posted in the correct forum. I will also make sure that my sentence structure, grammar, and paragraph formation are flawless and fit to be published.

And as for helping I have been helping her where to find it on her computer with what I could. Again, I too do not speak computer. Nor would I have known I needed all of that for your 'assistance,' such as it is.
I think you have as much as you can Violet, unless someone nicer, and more knowledgeable about where to find the information you are lacking can help where I couldn't.

Now i'm not savy on GPU's But is the ATI Radeon HD 2400 supported? it didn't cut the heads off in Dragon Age:Origins right?
my first guess would be something went wonky during installation so i'd re-install and try starting it up again. if that doesn't fix it. check for a patch if you haven't already >.> idk know where those would be i apologize, and if that doesn't work idk cause if you could run DAO you should be Able to run this fine and i'm no techie just general easy to find stuff really. So that's the best i got.
It really Shouldn't be hardware failure.

i know i'm awesome beyond reason sometimes but, no i'm not a techie and that's the best i can guess before saying it's a hardware failure and looking like this --->
Ram is at recommended. i see no real problems with the hard ware except the possibly the card being old. but idk not entirely sure. if she could run the first this should be fine
>.> should search for a dev or something if re-installation or patching doesn't work and bother them till they help you.
@violet np just keep in mind people like gorath are not common and since ME 2 we've had FPS rift raft fluttering in -.- from time to time many older members who have been here since ME 1 will be nice and fairly responsive.
Edit: Could Also be a driver issue.
