I'm sure I will at least look at the toolkit after I finish the game, and if a miracle happens and I understand it then perhaps I will create something by myself.

MMO no COOP campaigns yes.
Something like this would be nice - probably included in a future DLC or Expansion.
Agreed - I'd be more than willing to pay for some form of MP ...

Nah just kidding...
I'll just echo the overwhelming sentiment that I'd much prefer DA to stay as it is and focus on new single player content in the form of expansions and or sequels. I wouldn't be opposed to some MP campaigns and could get in on some cool online RP in that way, but please no more MMOs. In a very sad and real way they tend to breed this new form of gamer that I just really think the world doesn't need any more of. Plus it would ruin the immersion of the world for me knowing that ever Pwner and Wtfer out there had done the same thing as my character.
I vote no.

Now if they want to add co-op that is fine.

good possibility. They story and lore is pretty solid.
remember Warcraft wasnt always an MMO
I wouldnt be suprised, or dissapointed if they did.
could be why they specifically left out MP in this one....who knows.
True but it was never an RPG either and now look at the empty shell it has become.

I would be happy with a little bit of coop multiplayer. I remember back in the day when friends would do lan parties with Baldur's Gate.
Ahh yes ... the good old times ...

In my opinion, it's the story that makes a good MMORPG great. Warhammer isn't doing as well as might be hoped primarily because it focuses too much on PvP... Don't get me wrong, I love pvp.. But it's a fun Diversion, a way to show you and your character are powerful to others. Over Arching storylines and cinematics are primary things which make a world interesting to play in. It's because of this that I think Bioware could put out some great MMORPGS.
A couple people mentioned there's a Kotor MMORPG coming out, so anyone who likes bioware should just play that.. I don't think that's very fair, not only is it not the Dragon Age Universe (Bioware's proprietary fantasy world), it's not even really the same genre, Star Wars being a SciFi/Fantasy mix.. I personally really hope they do put out a Dragon Age MMORPG.. I'd buy it, and would keep playing it provided it lived up to Bioware's reputation. We'll see how Kotor goes though.. I'm sure I'll have a copy.
I'm also really not sure why popular things always get so much hate. WOW is in my opinion a great MMORPG, in that it has elements which appeal to everyone, is easy to pick up, intricate enough to involve some elements of strategy and variety of customization, a decent story arc, and decent PvP.. Hardcore Strategist/Empire Builders will always prefer Eve online, Hardcore PvPer's will always prefer Warhammer. But WOW in my opinion does provide a happy middle ground for casual player or those interested in several different facets of gameplay. Who knows, maybe Bioware will take the reigns. I certainly hope so, competition breeds improvement.

er its already an awesome world and experience. WHy would i want other people ruining it?!
Although I'd love to share it with a friend or two, I agree that sometimes other people ruin moments ingame.
In The Old Republic MMO they're handling multiplayer dialogue just fine, so it should be possible at least.
I can assure you I'll buy and play a Dragon Age MMO.

Btw I think that DA:O is gonna be somewhat MMORPG, although in a specific way. There would be no macroing, no joint raids with Pwnrdude and Roflman (thank you, sekkis, I spat my coffee when reading it) but there would be an online creative activity which outcomes will be shared by the community. It seems pretty nice social background to me.
I'm sure I will at least look at the toolkit after I finish the game, and if a miracle happens and I understand it then perhaps I will create something by myself.
i looked at it. i have no clue. maybe after i finish the game i'll break the toolset trying to build something :-).

empty shell ? *meh
I was intrigued and immersed in WoW for a nearly a year......didnt seem so empty to me. Was one of the games I feel I got my monies worth....the content was expansive...but that;s just my opinion.
....WoW has extreme love/haters, we all know that ... I was just one who played through the content, was in a fun small guild that did five mans...did a few achievements....and then moved on happy that I got to see the WoW world....dont care if WoW lives or dies.....I did, done it, and glad I did..

It is debatable whether MMO fans are a serious crowd, but just for the record NWN2 was not made by Bioware.Trustey wrote...
Certainly better than some MMO's. But Bioware can hardly handle buggy disasters like NWN2. No way they could keep MMO fans happy. A very serious crowd to cater to.

Bioware didn't do NWN2.. Obsidian did. Bioware is great at supporting games and keeping their customers happy.. Obsidion not so much.
