Because I put points into charm & intimidate. I thought since they allowed me to do so some situations would only have charm or intimidate turned on. But no, in every case you can either charm or intimidate.
But stupid bioware allowed me to make a catastrophic mistake. This is so lame. I don't want to start over either. I've started over enough.
What sucks is now I'm forced to cheat just to get my 4 points in intimidate back.. Is there any consequence of cheating? Man this sucks.

You made a mistake and is Bioware fault?

Listen carefully.
If you allow a player to increase charm & intimidate it means ONE THING.
It means that certain races are immune to charm or intimidate. Meaning you require both skills depending on who you are dealing with.
I assumed the krogan would be immuned to charm and the only way to reach them is with intimidate. But that wasn't true you can use both charm & intimidate. I thought maybe the only way to reach the hanar is with charm and not intimidate.
It turns out that you ALWAYS get charm or intimidate options. Therefore you only need to level up one of them.
Bioware are master storytellers but they suck at gameplay, always have.
****, this is the last time I'm starting over. I swear no one is going to make me a cheater, not even bioware. I REFUSE TO CHEAT.
Anyone reading this. CHOOSE CHARM OR INTIMIDATE DON'T DO BOTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another question that arises that may prove me wrong.
Can intimidate result in paragon points?
Can charm result in renegade points?
My belief is that you can be charming or intimidating to do the right thing.
But I believe biowares faulty logic is that just because you are intimidating you are automatically a renegade who breaks the rules and breaks laws. *sigh*

You can't intimidate to get paragon points, but you can follow a paragon path and end it with a intimidate option. You get renegade points though.
it works both ways obviously.
Being a renegade doesn't mean you have to break the laws or rules. A lot of people refer to this playstyle as "Paragade" or "Renegon".
Also, you're a Spectre, you don't have to follow the rules
