My thoughts exactly. It's hard to assassinate someone looking like you are going to be a street dancer on a parade float in Carnival...unless of course it is during the Carnival celebration and you are just trying to fit in.

Perhaps the concept art is more for ceremonial purposes. I too found his voice a little high pitched. I had to reload the page when I heard it because it sounded so odd.

I don't think it was originally ceremonial, there is a piece of concept art showing a scene with several NPCs, Zevran included in his feather garb, at the bedside of a sick character tended by nurses.



It's either an old concept for Antivan fashion or perhaps the old look for what's left of elven culture? Making elves more human-like does lend them to being more repressed, more integrated and gritty.
