Is there a fix download/debug command for the fact that the final picked up companion (Velanna or Sigrun) usually can't do their joining?  It's a bit late now for me to try to get both of theirs at once, so is there a debug command jump or something i can do until there is an official fix?  More specifically, I am looking for a debug for Velanna's Joining quest.

There probably is, however nobody has listed it, and if there were a debug command it would probably interfere with the Senechals battle dialogue. I suffered the same problem and the only suggestion I can give is to, next time, do Blackmarsh last since Justice doesn't do the joining ritual.

Bit of an iffy design issue that Bioware may patch out later, I don't know.

I probably would have left Justice for last anyways if I hadn't felt the need for a tank. In hindsight, that was a very silly feeling to have with the way this game went. Oh well, maybe someday during a blue moon we will finally get that patch ;)

I think I found a way to bypass the problem if you are at a point where circumventing it is impossible and you don't want to load an old save.

Make a backup of your savegame.
I used this tool for the first time and will call the entries "keys" because it reminds me of the windows registry editor.

If you get the savegame editor ( social.bioware.com/project/1936/#files ), run the editor.exe, open the .das file of your latest save (located in *my documents folder*\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Characters\\*character id*\\Saves\\Slot_*#*) and enter "sigrun" (or "velanna") in the search field, one of the hits should be "vgk210pt_join_sigrun" (or something similar for velanna). Doubleclick on it. In the right panel, the focus should jump to the string, being an entry under a key that is simply an index number representing the quest. The other entries under this key are the values for the quest. Edit those values as follows:
SAVEGAME_JOURNAL_QUEST_COMPLETED = 1
SAVEGAME_JOURNAL_QUEST_UPDATED = 255
SAVEGAME_JOURNAL_OFFER_ID = ?
I got these values by looking at the values of completed quests.
The quest entry is a subkey of SAVEGAME_JOURNAL_ACTIVE_LIST. Now you have to put the quest key into the key for finished quests (SAVEGAME_JOURNAL_COMPLETE_LIST). Right click on the key name (the index number i talked about) and select "cut". Then right click on SAVEGAME_JOURNAL_COMPLETE_LIST (comes after SAVEGAME_JOURNAL_ACTIVE_LIST) and select "paste". The key will be added at the end of the list with a new index number.
Now save and overwrite the file.

Now if you load the savegame ingame, the Quest for the Joining is completed. However, you'll not be able to witness the joining and I have no idea if this influences the game any further. I heard it is mentioned at the end if you forgot to let a party member undergo the joining, but that could be a seperate flag that I couldn't identify.

EDIT: I just completed Awakening and there was no mention of Sigrun not having joined the wardens. Seems like it worked.
