I used to go through headsets about 2 or 3 times a year because they always found some way to break (most of them Logitech, some Plantronics, couple other companies)... either the cable would get messed up somehow or the headset itself broke. I did some google searches and stumbled across Sennheiser. That was about 3 years ago, and I haven't had to replace it since. As far as I can tell, Sennheiser makes good headsets: good sound, seems to be sturdy, nice mic, fair price. Mine is one of the older models (pretty sure it's a PC150) but it's still working just as well as it did the day I plugged it into my pc.
