M1: On Feros why didn't shepard just use the Normandy to blow off the geth ship from the building? He could of easily been like "yo joker, come here and blow this geth ship up"

M2: On the mission where you play as Joker, why did Shepard decide to take everyone with him on this mission instead of the usual 2 (unless if its just a gameplay thing that you get 2 and in "canon" shepard takes everyone) In that case i'll ask another, When trying to romance Samara why didn't Shepard just say, my wish is to have a romance with you, I mean she did have that code and her codes are very literal.

I think the Normandy could have been the solution for almost any mission. Maybe we'll get StarFox 64 in Mass Effect 3?

I'm guessing it's time constraints - as in, there was supposed to be another multi-squad mission before that invasion, but they couldn't produce one in time.

When I did a playthrough where I got the IFF as soon as possible, this field trip in the shuttle almost made sense when I was actually heading somewhere to do a mission. Only then you get the cutscene and I get called back before I can even do the mission!

They were going out for pizza. They were going to bring back tons of pizza for the crew who were left working on the ship, but, well, now they have a lot of leftovers now the Gardner is gone.

The Collectors didn't want them consuming all that sodium. They're very health conscious.

I find the answer is quite easy when it comes to ME2 - Garrus hadn't calibrated the guns yet. Little did we know the SR-1 had a similar issue.

We see a geth ship take out the quarians on Haestrom. Why aren't the geth flying that sucker all over the place, trying to take out Shepard?

I might be wrong, but I remember that communications were cut, until after you took the ship down.

(unless if its just a gameplay thing that you get 2 and in "canon" shepard takes everyone)

I always thought that was the case. =]

Would have made for an unnecessarily bloated reaper, I suppose.

Generally that mission will trigger if you go to a mission (for instance after doing the IFF, Legion's Loyalty mission and a hammerhead mission it triggered for me when I went to go to Jacob's Loyalty mission).  I wonder if your shuttle is always suppose to be fully stocked or if they really did have to cut a mission...

I wouldn't say Gardner... I would say those two crewmembers that are always eating and talking in the mess hall.  Seriously... the Normandy has two lazy people who never leave their sleeping quarters, two work-a-holics up near the bridge and those two fatties that don't leave the mess hall.  That is why that guy wasn't able to help Joker... he was out of shape.

IMO, if that was actually a mission where after you get back you see all the crew captured instead of playing as Joker it would have much more impact. Although I find that part awesome as well. I would just like to be horribly surprised by the sudden attack and the crew abduction.

Most of the time, the Normandy would be at the location of the mission. Shepard would then pick out a crew and head on out. Only this time, the Normandy wasn't going to be there and Shepard didn't know what he was up against yet. Maybe the pizzas were going to cost more than he expected and he'd need Miranda's Cerberus credit chit to pay. Maybe some Blue Suns were going to be at the parlor and he'd need Zaeed to get a little rough. Maybe the pizzas were going to be a little much to carry back on his own, so he'd need a few biotics to help carry the load. Also, Grunt would probably be too hungry to wait, so best to bring him to the pizzas rather than have him tear up the Normandy while waiting for Shepard to return. Obviously, Mordin would be needed to test the pizzas for poison.

I kind of wish there were unlockable content in ME 2 (and Bioware games in general).  I too think it would have had more impact if you had a big mission like that.

But imagine how cool if it would have unlocked the Joker mission to play from the menu?

I've played too many JRPGs... :|

That sort of makes sense, but that should have been standardized all missions post IFF
