This is what the Mayans predicted. ME3 will cause the world to crumble under it's awesomeness.
Part (most) of me is glad that it won't come out till much later because the very last thing I would want is for them to rush the final installment of my favorite and the most epic franchise of all time. And it shouldn't be surprising that it's not coming out till late 2012. 2-3 years is the average development time for a video games.

Agreed, I have no problem until the game comes out later. I've been wanting them to take their time. This game needs to be legendary epic. Period. Its the end of shepards tale. Thank you Bioware for the right choice, but until then I will enjoy DA 2. haha!

I forget the e-motion (new nerd speak i just created!), i forget the names of characters, i forget the plot specifics.
I knew what was going on by the end of ME1 but during ME2 i was finding it hard to make connections with names and all those emails i received just made me wonder who/what/where/why/when?
Basically, what i am trying to say is that i sure hope they spend some of that extra 12 month making some kind of prologue as far back as ME1.

You could just replay ME1 and ME2 before ME3 comes out... A lot of people do that for all video games.

They were probably talking about the movie being released in quarter 4 2012. But I could be wrong. Who cares anyway? We're getting DLC support until ME3, a high chance at a few expansion packs to bridge the story, and more. I hope they take their time with ME3. Before, I was a little pissed about it coming out in 2 years again, but its the final act and I wouldn't want them to make any mistakes, or leave anything out. So if anything, quarter 4 2012 would seem too soon. But thats just me.

Lol, disregard the article guys! It was an April fools joke obviously. Look at the date, and the actors they listed below. This is so fake. And as FourSixEight said, they said it wouldn't take that long and to look for a late 2011 early 2012 release from an article I read a while back. haha no worries.
