Then why post it? You know it's not going to get a good reception, so I'm just confused as to what you intend to accomplish here.

Maybe the poor guy/girl was naive enough to think posting something ME related was going to provoke discussion, rather than just having the pack descend on him/her? Gotta love how friendly these forums are nowadays. *Grumble*Getoffmylawn*Grumble*

I am paranoid, I concede that point. It's not my intention to be unwelcoming. But, the article seemed like flamebait to me, so I assumed that the OP was a troll. I wish I didn't have to make that leap of logic, but, well, this is the BioWare forums.

If not, then it's a mistake. If so, then we should ignore it.

I was actually naive enough to think that it would get some laughs, since he's (IMO) clearly complaining about anything and everything (Miranda's behind, no lavatory!? etc etc)

....apparently I was the only one who found it funny.

Wow, is this guy serious? Most of the points would have fit better in a "Reasons to love ME2" list, like no more inventory system and no more mako. This guy is probably some PS3 fanboy who gets a boner off of ripping on xbox games (yes I know it's also on PC). And saying Kelly is the hottest female in ME2 instantly destroyed all of his credibility.

No, I did find it funny. Agreed with a couple, totally baffled by a couple of the others. ^_^

I understand. And, I apologise if I came across as a [female dog], it's not intended, and I didn't intend to single out your comment - it was just the most convenient.

1. ...not an issue.
2. Not a problem for 360 as of the patch.
3. "Loyalty" is a bad name for these missions. Just rename them "Focus" or "Character" missions and there wouldn't be a problem.
4. Compared to the looting in ME1? Thank GOD it's gone.
5. Not a reason to dislike the actual gameplay. As for continuity, they should have made the system a blend of cooling down and popping heat sinks.
6. Better than the clunky menu-buried system of changing ammo from ME1.
7. Granted, squadmates should have at least worn armor in battle, if not changeable.
8. Disagreed.
9. ...then don't buy fish.
10. And the problem here is...? Seriously, I don't understand the complaint.
11. Put skill points into them and research into "Biotic Damage" and this problem's solved. And people claim Mass Effect 2 isn't an RPG.
12. This is just ridiculous. The fact that someone would complain about this, I mean.
13. ...then don't buy it.
14. Untrue. First of all, depending on whether or not you let the council die (and if you pick Udina or Anderson), you either get your Spectre status back or you don't. There's also plenty of other changes- if you don't import, the game decides you killed Wrex, the Rachni queen, wiped out Feros, didn't get it on with Liara, etc.

I agree with you and I saw you posted this on the comments section of the article. Nice :D. I hope the author sees it and realizes how much of an idiot he is.

If they did that then all the work people put into perfecting their ME1 characters would have been for nothing. If you want that level of uniqueness in your playthrough, you have to play through ME1.

I strongly disagree with Kelly being the "hottest" but the last point is definitely the most valid.

MASS EFFECT 2 IS WONDERFUL AND YOU CAN HAVE LOTS OF FUN WITH IT FOR ABSOLUTE HOURS. WHICH IS GOOD IF TYOUR UNEMPLOYED!!!

but the article did make a few good points:

1. I disliked not having cool weapons/armour/medigel in lockers I could use. I'm dead certain mercenaries would carry all of this.

2. ME1 had no real impact on ME2 but did affect characters mainly. They could easily have made it so some missions had variations like on Illium based on ME1 choices.

3. The argument that Bioware wanted to get new gamers into the ME univerise is bullS""t as they could have had default settings anyway.

4. I violently dislike not having different types of armour to use

5. No Mako could have just added the firewalker pack to it with extensive modifications

6. WTF the DLC are rubbish most of them. With the exception of cerberaus Armour and Arc weapon.

7. I want Sheperd to have more evil choices like in Fallout 3 you could choose to kill off merchants for loot. This would be justified for sheperd as he is saving the galaxy he could raid other ships.

Well, you are saving the galaxy, but you're not, like, a Terminus raider or something. No matter what, there IS still a Council, whether it's human or alien-human-combo, and if you start doing things like telling Samara everyone on Ilium is a rapist and letting her go rampage and kill everyone, the Council will send Spectres after you to take you down.

You can be an extreme anti-hero, but not, generally, an out-and-out villain.

Well technically you are a Spectre so are to a point above the law. This just means you can choose to cut deals with Criminal gangs, aide in smuggling weapons or choosing not to deal with Corruption.

Some of the choices to me were for a villain for example: Recruiting Morinth (why shes insane?) or leaving the slavers to die on Zaeeds mission.

I would like to have been able to ally with criminal gangs to further my own goas like acquiring advanced Tech or credits

1. You still find new weapons - they call them plans which appears to frost a lot of cupcakes but is the same thing - what you do not find is the same vendor trash over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over like you did in ME1.

4. You do have different types of armor.  Just stop, breathe deep and know hat each time you change helmet X to helmet Y you've got a new bit of armor because functionally you do. The traits and use of that armor has changed. If you care about looks you can swap out textures, colors and designs for god only knows how many ways to play Barbie Dress Up with Shep.

I know. The "loot" in ME1 can hardly even be considered loot. You just find the same exact guns but is a little more accurate and does a little more damage. Everything else about it is identical. In ME2 there is actual variational in the functionality of weapons of the same type.

Besides, to read that article, you'd think that blessed every other videogame in the world was High Art, and the Mass Effect series is the only one that would possibly stoop to an occasional cliche.  I'm thrilled that they were able to do so much "out of the box" stuff at all, and still remain hugely popular.  Of course, you'll still find dweebs who whimper about lack of looting and overly attractive secretaries (c'mon, you don't have to flirt with her if you don't want to...sheesh.  Guys are such twits sometimes)

I stopped reading right after the Ammo Collecting point. At least that guy tried to look like played the game, ... maybe he even did, but he should have read the codex carefully before stating that the weapons are energy-based. LOL funny article. Some good points.

ME2 is a great game, but still flawed, like it's predecessor. Why am I'm like one of the few people who appreciates ME2, yet can still acknowledge it's shortcomings? It's like everyone is a fanboy of something. You got ME1 fanboys, ME2 fanboys, Tali fanboys, Garrus fanboys (Okay I'm kind of a Garrus fanboy), Miranda fanboys, Thane fangirls, Liara fanboys, even Kaidan and Jacob fanboys.
