don't know if it count as a rpg but i believe was a rpg wing commader back in the mid and late 90s

I think it'd have to be the original Zelda on NES. Either that or Final Fantasy 1. Both great.

My dad didn't care about age ratings. My first game was Duke Nukem, when I was 3. I would play the game while sitting on my dad's lap. I fondly remember Duke telling a stripper to "Shake it, baby!".

1987. Ultima 2 as well. Apple II e. I didn't get it.



Years later, my freshman year in college, one of my dorm mates told me who had the crucial item for walking through fire. Played it over my winter break despite it being outdated. I was satisfied to finally beat it.

The first game I ever played that wasn't E was Starcraft. Still the best game I ever played.

In my country people don't care about age ratings. Shops want to earn, you want to play. It's basically a deal. And besides, Diablo was one of my first games ever (probably beaten only to Warcraft 2 and Race Mania... err... a game... made by a company from my country... very nice though... and... appears it's free?! )

Still, I was born in the 90s... err, make it 1990 actually. 20th November, date when the Mayan prophecies actually were discovered! :o (joking of course). I was 5 or 4 or whatever with Diablo. I remember being scared as hell of the Butcher. Every time I played a new game, I hoped I didn't get that quest. He's tough, until you don't discover that enemies in the game are stupid and don't open doors. Fun times. Fallout was actually a game I never was scared about. I had that thing of SMGs going on at that time. I mean, nothing funnier than making 300 damage criticals on level 5 :P

Baldur's Gate is actually a game that I am afraid to play even today. Like the epic fight of a level 1 thief and a wolf... fight that in most cases ends badly. I am scared of ingame insta deaths. Like a sniper pooping your head open, a beholder sending deathrays at you, and many many more. :P

My first RPG was Diablo II. Boy that was a classic time. I played it both on my cousin's old Pentium II as well as my old AMD Duron. I beat the game a couple times legitimately before I decided to use character editors to give me some outrageous stats and items that had a bunch of attributes. It was fun running around and attacking at super speed. I also played the first one as well just to see what it was like.

I never could get into RPG's until I played the original Diablo. That game got me hooked..

hmmm, my first RPG of all time was the first Phantasy Star on Master System, and my first CRPG was... Rage of Mages, i think :)

started with that too when i was still a kid. first crpg i guess was Eye of the Beholder series on DOS.
