Amazing work, kudos for them, but I have to say something for my nostalgia's sake. It's funny that besides the talimancer doing Tali's helmet (), no one else seems to know a lot about the series. I could be wrong, but that's what the video showed to me. They remember some of my friends that were cosplayers, same kind of situation although the US (they're from US right?) is so far from where I live (South America). They could not even have played the game, watched the anime/movie, etc, but they if they found the character "cool" they made a costume and then surfed the internet for information on the characters and then they were ready to do it. I always thought that was a little lame, but whatever, they were my friends.
Hey there! This is actually Holly here. And Yes, I've played the game. Yes, I've read the books and comics. Yes, I own the sweatshirt with N7 on it and I've played every bioware game ever made an unhealthy number of times. (wow, I'm defending my geekdom, interesting...)
Sooooo, yeah, I'm on my 5th playthrough of ME2 while making the costumes.
I hate coming in here all full of rage, but seriously, don't hate. I make costumes, cosplay is just a term people coined for something that I feel isn't exactly what I'm doing. "Cosplay" is fine as a general term, but it makes me think of simplicity patterns and Naruto headbands.
But don't mind me, I'll get back to my calibrations....
Everyone else, thank you so much for the comments! I promise we'll have more picture of Grunt up soon, we're almost done with the head and I'll be painting it soon!!
