So joined the fanclub... Not that I have any art to contribute, but I love to look at the arts! So going to send another Nate-tist over to join too when I see her online!

Awakening, round 2. Nate is an odd odd man. Why on Earth would be say "I've always wanted one of these" when I give him Delilah Howe's letters? 
Also, why is Nate's mom's portrait hanging in Kristoff's bedroom wall in the Crown and Lion inn?

I've noticed that people have done this and I just haven't yet, but should I be posted fic over on DA too?  Right now I just post to AO3 and FFnet, but I'm beginning to wonder if I should post my Nate fic on DA for the fan club.

I just read Game Informer's preview of DA2 - I'm all 'squee' again about the possiblity of Nate! I'm reading so much into their cagey words they wouldn't recognise them ;-)

@Nodice: I always wondered why on earth those letters didn't trigger a cutscene. Why would you have something like that there and then NOT make it a plot item?



@Tasmen: Go for it! There's a lot of fic around in dA, and the more (fic) the merrier (we Nate fans will be)!



Oh, and about bestseller art! The lame explanation is that it's a stock portrait that they splash around here and there. The "let's work out an explanation that doesn't sound like we're lazy"-version is that as the previous Arlessa, she would have had her portrait hanging elsewhere in Amaranthine as well, not just in their own home. Just think about how many portraits of the high and mighty were painted in the olden days... It's like a poster of Lady Gaga. Or a photo of the president.



Not that the first explanation probably isn't closer to the truth. X)

Re the letters - they do seem like a plot gift don't they? Maybe they were and then they messed around with how Nate would find out Delilah was alive? And decided the bow was a better plot gift? I would have liked a nice chat about the letters - another missed opportunity

Hah, why of course! It is however identical to the one in the Keep. Also pretty funny that the painting in the Keep was such a big deal if in fact the same painting was found all over the city.

Now I got so disturbed I had to go and check the actual description. (it's been a while)

You know, what bothered me a lot is that obviously, it would only have the letters of the FRIEND and not Delilah's, so it would probably be more like indirect commentary to whatever Delilah wrote to her. And what time would the letters be from? End of the blight? After it? I don't think it could have taken very long for them to be thrown out of the Keep.

(This also makes me cringe at being stupid and starting the comic midway through Awakening and skipping the beginning. It was a completely nonsensical thing that just HAPPENED because it wasn't supposed to be this massive originally. I may have to go back to the clearing the cellar part just to get those convos in the story. :/)

Yarrrghhhh why doesn't this thing have a preview button! Anyway, maybe... maybe it's a cheap copy...?    And yeah, so she does indeed. But apparently she wasn't the best of mothers anyway... XD

Your fic is definitely one of the best so it be a nice contribution. Plus It would be nice to directly link fanarts I made for you to your fic on DA.

That's what I thought too, but if it's correspondence then it would mean all the letters are there...which makes absolutely no sense of course

You're story is lovely and doesn't need to cover everything.

Of course not.   I think you should practice more...using Nate of course....it can't hurt....make sure you show us the results

Yes!  A new prompt is given every Thursday, so there will eb a new one tomorrow.  This week's was "Firsts".
Let me know if you want to be on the prompt giver list!  I think we only have 4 at the moment, we can always use more!
