Is anyone else pissed off that Gaider teased us by saying he really liked Nathaniel and would have picked him as an LI in Awakening?? And now he's not even a party member?!? WILL HE EVEN SHOW UP AT ALL!??!!?

Yeah, I thought about that comment after the Anders announcement.  I think it was his way of saying "I wish."  A bit of a lament, if not exactly an apology to Nate fans (because he feeds on our tears as you all well know).  With Fenris he said he was glad to do a stoic character, so that might have also been the subtext.

Oh I totally missed that comment by him.  Dammit, I wish I would have known and I could have smacked him at PAX about it.

Nate /will/ be there.  It's been confirmed that he makes a cameo.  We'll at least get to see him.  Though I suppose we can look at it this way too, BECAUSE he isn't a main companion in DA2, perhaps he gets saved from the retcon/personality change stick?

I suppose     Its marginally better than having him come back as a baddy and being subjected to the slings and arrows that Loghain supporters are.  Marginally.

It seriously makes me sad.  I mean Fenris obviously USED to have dark hair given his eyebrows.   Why couldn't they have just left it black?  Aren't the lyrium tattoos on his jimmy enough?

I hope its just a coincidence and not a trite story telling tool.  "Good guys - blonde / bad guys - dark"   That would be lazy on their part imho.


Edit - I'm changing my avatar in silent protest.  She'll look just as good with brown hair!!!

Exactly!  Give us a little fan service - if they can give Isabela boobs big enough to overbalance her in combat, they can give us pantless Nate.

Someone made a thread on whether he should hang Nate. I thought about it just now and I realised - you can actually run Awakenings with no Wardens.

I'm pretty sure anyway - Nate/hanged - Anders/Templars - Oghren/sent packing - Velanna/Dead or sent packing - Justice/sent packing - Sigrun/sent packing.

It made me chuckle - not sure why. Back to your regularly schedule programs...

They got nothing against them. Almost all the male love interests were dark-hairded before DAO/DA2. Some people even complained about it, too.
