I did!  That was one of my favorite parts.  I was hoping to get similar options in Nate's quest, but alas....there was nothing. Image IPB

That cameo was awesome. and you get to read that Zevran is picking off the Crows guildmaster one by one. Always the mastermind.

Zevran is alive in all my games and the import worked correctly on everything else.

I'd heard of people having trouble getting Nate in their imports, but not Zevran.

Well FYI, I used one of the default imports on my current mage PT.  It's the 'No Compromise' import.  This one has both Nate & Zevran in it, FYI.  It's been a pretty interesting import with a lot of the off choices that most people did not make.

@Tasmen - interesting. I'll have to have a look at those choices. My canon save does include some choices most people don't make I think - my DC is a little erratic ;-) If she doesn't work as an import I might try the 'no compromises' one. That's if I don't die from waiting for my game to be delivered..

If you want to see Nate in DA2, don't do what I did and aid the dwarven idiot brothers. This is what I spotted while wondering where I could trigger the quest: "Did you do the quest Fool's Gold in Act 2? -- I do know that if you do that quest, you can't do Finding Nathaniel in Act 3." From Gamespot.

No Nate for me then. Great.

A couple of questions regarding Finding Nathaniel in DA2 (minor spoilers ahead):

1. Does the Architect need to be alive from my Awakening import in order to see Nate? In my import, Nathaniel became a Grey Warden and survived the attack on Vigil's Keep. However, my character killed the Architect.

2. I just met up with Yevhen, the giver of the "Fools Gold" quest. I declined helping find his sons in the Deep Roads. Am I still on track to finding Nathaniel later in the game?

Any help is appreciated -- I'm just wondering if I need to start over :)

I believe the Architect needs to be spared in order to find Nathaniel. So, I'm off to try activating the quest using the developer console!

No Nate for me then, I always kill the Architect. I know, I know, use the console - maybe one day but not for my first playthrough.

OK -- so according to your Awakening imports, your characters killed the Architect (like my warden) and you got the Finding Nathaniel quest. Good to know.

For those who had gotten the Finding Nathaniel quest, did you also get the option of the the Fool's Gold quest but did not complete it? In my playthrough of Act 2, I have the option of completing the Fool's Gold quest (I have not done so), but I was unsure if even having the option prevented the Finding Nathaniel quest.

It sounds like my game is bugged -- and it was working so well :) --except for the most important part of the game!!! Sigh. Thankfully, I am able to activate the Finding Nathaniel quest using the debug program.
