I just got the nasty ending. Whoah. Well, at least I'm done now and don't need to fear for spoilers. But X_X I'm speechless. I think I need to fix this with some very pointed fanart.

I'm obviously a sad fangirl. Still, the elf will remove his pants..whereas the Howe will not.

I had to use the console to activate the quest, because I didn't know I had to ignore the Fool Dwarves >.<
Next playthrough Iìll do it properly, but it was nice to see him and Anders again!

Oh my, now that you mention it...I miss it! But at least he is still nice looking as always.

Was I the only one bothered by the voice? I know he didn't talk much, and maybe we were busy looking at him but I really do notice voices ( hence why even though I tried hard not to, I totally fell for Fenris).
Well, maybe with the years his voice changed a bit, but I really liked more the Awakening one, this was too rough and weird...don't know :\\

And I am still annoyed by the fact that I didn't see him in the last battle, and not even Zevran! Shame! I left too many companions around and they didn't show up ..time to die for my brother in my next playthrough, and maybe even time to ignore gaining points with Isabela (leave her to the Qunari seems a bit too much, according to Fenris too).

So it was a different VA then? Wasn't Simon Chadwick already confirmed?

It was the same VA. I think maybe he just forgot how to voice Nate? Or maybe they told him, you are older and more gravely. I don't know.

It was definitely the same VA, but you're not the only one that thought it was....different. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it was like Chadwick forgot how to do Nate.

I noticed the voice too, he sounded breathless. Still had that lovely soft undertone but different. Maybe just out of breath fighting all those darkspawn...or the sight of the lovely Hawke put him off balance ;-)

I don't know, the voice was more "rough", no idea how to explain it...like he had a cough, or a sore throat... xD

Maybe it is the age, but Anders' voice didn't age that much (if anything, it sounds more young with the new VA), or Zevran's too. I don't think they specifically told just him to sound older, maybe his voice really wasn't in a good shape when they recorded. I know they have to work with strict timetables, might happen :\\

I'm happy I wasn't the only one to notice though, at least I know I'm not going crazy!

it was impossible NOT to notice. Like most of you said, it sounded very much like he had a bad sore throat or something... I explained it to myself that he had yelled himself hoarse at the darkspawn XD

Perhaps he was yelling at fate and Bioware's tradition of blonde male LI's in DA

As is my habit, my first playthrough ended early.  I've started a mage who I'm enjoying a lot.  I like the party make up for her better (Aveline, Fenris and Varric) (she's got a heal spell which is enough so far).  Aveline is just gorgeous - I love when she says "Well done but don't get overconfident" when something gets oneshotted.

Oh yeah, maybe he used too much Song of Valor!

Seriously, he was a bard too in my party and...well...when I saw and heard him "screaming" the song, I always wondered if he is a good singer xD

I liked the cameo, but I'm a little bummed out too. I feel like this is he last time we will see Nate in the DA series. I always thought it was strange when people crushed on non-romanceable characters...and then it happened to me.

I am gonna go drown my sorrows by reading some Nate fanfic...

I like how Nate's the only one not affected by a spell of some sort. Teflon armour!

It's my mage's Arcane Shield. One of the 'upgrades' on the skill tree lets it protect your companions too.
