I can honestly picture Morrigan developing a little bit of a crush on Nate since part of her obviously likes Sten.Must be the quiet, stoic thing Oghren was on about. :D

He seems like a rather white-knight, not-brooding, good-hearted character when his father's story is not involved. But because his interest as a character is based almost entirely on that conflict, if he'd have been in Origins, he'd have been right there in the middle of it, rather than dealing with it after the fact. Would have given his character growth a lot more room to expand.

Maybe I've been reading too much fanfiction but I could also see Zevran and Nathaniel spending some "tent-time" together...

I'm not too picky about who he'd share tent time with, so long as I get to watch. Posted Image

You noticed! I actually don't own any of the DVDs. I'm only borrowing this one from a friend and it just happened to have the episode with Simon Chadwick in it. I have to say, it's one of my favourite episode of Coupling.

 Thank you. I'm pretty proud of this Warden since she's the first one I created using the toolset.

Ah, Ancient Elven. That's why I didn't recognize it. I'm always too lazy to collect all the pieces and end up selling it right away.

It is indeed Ancient Elven.Like I said before,I think surprisingly Nate suits that particular armour set.I bet he'd look a little out of place in any set of heavy armour, though.

You know, I can't seem to find any heavy armour that I even like to look at on anyone. Diligence looks too "shiny" and the Ceremonial Armour Set is too red. Are there mods of heavy armour that actually look good?

He does look weathered. I'm just waiting for someone to come in and make a better looking Nathaniel that still resembles the original one yet less.. haggard.

After the earlier discussion - I'm running this time with Nate, Sigrun, Anders and my pc.

I respc'd Nate to melee as I'm playing a Dalish ranger type.

I just wanted to say...I now feel inadequate. Its like watching mobs get churned up in a threshing machine o.O

Given who he was raised by, can you really blame him?

Of course, I'm still wondering why Nathaniel was sent into semi-exile in the Free Marches for so long and Thomas was offered up to the HNF instead of him. Nathaniel is established to hero-worshipped his father so that couldn't have been it and unless he'd been planning his betrayal for the 6/7 years beofre it actually happened then there was no  reason to send his more morally inclined child away so soon. Well, why besides the obvious 'he didn't exist yet' explanation. Posted Image

Nathaniel may have hero-worshiped his father, but do we know for certain who was the more favored son?

I would have thought that Rendon would be egotistical enough to enjoy the hero-worship.

I actually have a theory on this one.  It crossed my mind that Howe would need loyal people to help him run his "empire".  He knew Nathaniel worshipped him.  He also knew Nathaniel to be honorable.  So, he sent him a way to squire while he did is awful things to build his empire.  Once this was established, he would then bring Nathaniel back and give him a large, improtant holding to help him maintain his power base.  We do learn from Nathaniel that his brother was a drunk and less than honorable.  So Howe kept Thomas close and used him to help him with his dirty work.  He would then marry Nathaniel's sister off to another  land holder in an effort to consolidate his hold even further.  Howe would, however, make sure that even his children would be subject to his ultimte authority.  I can imagine that Howe would eventually give even Thomas some sort of land holding albeit not one that could in any way errode his power.  I think Thomas was probably more like Rendon in temperament and ambition.  As the old saying goes, "Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer."

While most of your theory I have to agree with, I'm not so sure about Thomas. Where does it indicate that he was anything like his father? I always thought he was implied as being a privileged human noble who was pretty much the male equivalent of Habren.
