I really like Nate but there are times and depending on his profile that he resembles a young Loghain more than Rendon but other times he does resemble Rendon.

I much prefer him to look like Loghain  than Rendon.

Those are the best kinds of antagonists, though, because you *really* don't want to kill them. It's part of your heroic challenge, to overcome your nemesis' overwhelming attractiveness.

Totally.  I remember playing for the first time and just finished the Alienage, felt good about that, talked to Eamon, then ran to the Landsmeet chamber, somehow Alistair threw a fit when I wanted to recruit Loghain, Anora got blood all over her, got dumped, and suddenly we were heading to Redliffe.  WTF, mate?

I was surprised when I read that Alistair is supposed to be 21. 30 is good. An idea that ran through my head was if FHN is in her early to mid-20s, would Nate's impression of her for the longest time possibly that of a young girl... being Fergus' little sister and all that jazz? I can imagine him struggling to reconcile the image of that young girl to his commander, in addition to his father's killer. Somebody may have explored that angle already and it may not add much to the tension that was there due to their families, but I'm curious on how this could be played out by fanfic writers.

^^This.  I see this as more plausbile that the childhoood sweethearts scenario.  Not to mention the fact that she murders your father and destroys your family name.  Awkwaaaaaaard!

I know some of you out there are writers....get on this!!

You know, I've just finished my third Awakening run, this time with my evil mage. I was truly planning to kill or at least banish Nathaniel ... and I just couldn't do it, despite the fact that I didn't need him on my team. So he spent the entire game standing in the corner of the throne room looking decorative. It's like how after getting to know him I can never leave Sten in his cage!



I keep planning to write some Dragon Age fanfic with Nathaniel in it, but I've barely written anything in months. Stupid grad school ...
