This piece of dialogue always strikes me as being slightly ironic :
Anders: In your future, I sense a knife in the back. Just saying.
Oghren: So we just let anyone into this outfit, huh?
Not so much from Anders but Oghren. He's not exactly prime Warden material in Awakenings is he? ;-)
Its interesting that if you conscript Nate no one minds but if you recruit him when he asks - disapproval.
Maybe it's becuase they think he's asking to join the Grey Wardens, just so he's close to you and its easier for him to kill you? *shrugs*
Yes, definitely. I just think its odd they weren't given disapproval or comments if you conscript earlier. Or maybe the writers thought Varel was disapproving enough ;-)
(I love the he way he says "Commander!?")
I thought it was odd too, but that does make sense. If I personally had sent someone off who had been threatening or thinking about killing me (and I was aware) and then comes back and asks to join me, I'd probably tell them to get lost due to the fact I just don't trust them.
I think if you conscript, it's you're forcing him to join the Wardens and I guess Anders and Oghren maybe see it as some sort of punishment. But again, odd because if they seriously thought Nathaniel was going to kill the Warden, he'd still be able to stick a dagger in the Warden's back, conscripted or asking to join.
Ah well...
Ooo, quick question for you Mel_Redux (fairly dumb, but I find it amusing to ask):
How many times have you killed Velanna?
If you don't understand why I'm asking, then just ask me.
