You totally read my mind! I was thinking yesterday how very similar Richard Armitage's character in North and South is to what I think Nathaniel would've been like before being sent to the Free Marches or maybe even after the whole incident with the Mother. Or maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part because I love Richard Armitage's voice, and his eyes... *melts*Miri1984 wrote...
Ok, I don't know if anyone else has noticed the similarities - but Richard Armitage as Nathaniel anyone?

RA's character in Robin Hood does remind me a little of Loghain in the Stolen Throne (but can't say for sure since I've only seen one season of it). But then again, young Loghain also reminds me of Nate. Both were dutybound having to work with the person who they felt was responsible for the death of their fathers.9985 wrote...
I remember someone suggesting him for young Loghain though.
It's good to be back, thanks!9985 wrote...

Oh, you say that now but you might change your mind if you were to watch North and South. *drools* (If you have netflix, you can watch it on your PC off their website.)Mel_Redux wrote...
I don't know who this Armitage dude is...but, um....do not want.

Extreme sqee'age. My interest in DA2 just hit an all time high ;-)
It would end like Morrigan's romance, though, with him leaving and never coming back and not even at the end of the game since he's only there for one year out of ten. On the bright side, he's one companion almost guarenteed to survive. I say almost, of course, as Ogrhen doesn't seem to notice if he's been killed in Origins by the time Awakening comes around. Then again, since Origins came out first they probably didn't know they'd be bringing Oghren back and they DO know that Nathaniel shows up in Ferelden later.Seriously. if he's not romancable, I will throw things.

No creepiness intended. I use my powers only for good.

I'm quoting that just because I want too... wb AC
Sorry I posted and went off to bed.
Eamon! I hate him with the force of a thousand suns. Okay that might be a bit strong...maybe.
Not
Zev I love him. No other companion in Origins provides with me with as
much amusement. His subtle put downs are a work of art. (He's
sporting Anders hair in my game btw)

Note2: Wonder how many other side references are actually foreshadowing?

Cameos are fun. Maybe there won't be a romance, maybe there would be only one conversation, but it would still be fun for him to be there. I cannot imagine that they would set up a cameo for not-exactly-significant-to-the-overall-story Nate and then ignore that they sent exiled Alistair in that direction, too. Especially after this:Note2: Wonder how many other side references are actually foreshadowing?

So does that mean, the only way we'll see Ali in DA2 is if we exiled him? Whoa... I don't know if I can do that.
Aw, I always spare Loghain.<3 I just marry off Ali to Anora. Exiling him just seems too cruel.phaonica wrote...
You can have your Alistair cameo, but only if you *spare Loghain* Muahahaha!
That would be really uncool for a lot of people, wouldn't it?
I'm curious too as to what Nate's purpose in DA2 will be.phaonica wrote...
It was easy to believe that the most significant characters might at least get a mention, but if they've actually set up Nate to be in Kirkwall on purpose... it does beg the question why this character, of all of them, was written into DA2.
I'm willing to bet that a confirmed drunken Alistair cameo will lead to many people redoing their games (or at least from the Landsmeet on) to see it but that seems like too big of a time commitment given that he'll probably just be drinking and rambling about how he used to be a Prince and a GW and no one will believe him if his epilogue is any indication.A71C3 wrote...
