I re-started Awakening last night with a new PC and running around the outside of the Keep, was picturing child Nate playing there.  It made me feel kind of aww for him.  Though growing up in an ancient fortress would have had lots of kid appeal.

Well, it seems common that the nobles had nannies to raise the kids.  Nan, if you remember, was the Cousland nanny until the kids were big enough, and then she became the castle's cook.  I think the Couslands are just luckier than most nobles in that their parents talk to them and whatnot.

In the Howe's case, considering the way Rendon is, it's probably fortunate that they had someone else to take care of them.  <_<

And for because I want some Nate to myself because I need something to laugh at. I admit, 'tis true.

And I would VS Nate on other characters, but the only universes I know better then Dragon Age's is Supernatural, Harry Potter, Inheritance Cycle (originally known as the Inheritance Trilogy, and last book has yet to release), Banned and the Banished, The Seven Kingdoms Trilogy (Still waiting for last book to release on this one also), and LOTR. And I also know the Kiesha'ra of the Den of Shadows series pretty well also.

Poor Nate.  It seems he didn't do well with either parent.  He had an emotional attachment of sorts to his father but in the conversation about the painting seems to dismiss his mother.  "She was never that pretty."

Time for some hugging....

Nate reminds me a bit of Faramir (a bit) and perhaps Eomer (or maybe not.)

If his mother wasnt' that pretty, then who did he take after? Certainly not his father, who looks nothing like him. Don't hate me, but with his colouring he looks more as though he could be Loghain's son than Rendon's. (I wonder if that's the real reason Loghain gave Howe so much power? Heh heh).

But now I want to got find the freak faces of LOTR (oh dear! It already takes me a day and a half to watch the darn movies because I own the extended editions of all three, imagine me pausing every four to five seconds)

You may know what the books of the Inheritance Cycle are (it's better known as the Eragon series), but I refuse to do a VS because I will not torture myself watching one of my books being butchered on screen again. Banned and the Banished as well as The Seven Kingdoms Trilogy I understand no one knowing-- they are far too underknown despite their quality.

But Faramir or Eomer... Huh, thats a hard choice to do a VS on... Should do both...

Great. Just gave me more theories.
But to me, his coloring looks like Rendon's. Rendon is pale. We don't know his actual hair color because it's gray (the gray hair in DA:O looks like it came from black hair) and.... *drum roll*

He has the nose! Quickest way to find a Howe is all in the nose.

I love it, but I'm a nose girl.  All my PCs have prominent noses, too.
